Key Milestones• Submit bid • Contract Award • Submit design, fixed price and fixed date for practical
completion • Submit final design scope, fixed price & completion date • Refurbishment price agreed • Start work• Date for Practical Completion
Planners Key Deliverables• Review school project scope• Select the schedule for each project school• Put the key milestones into each contract
document• Print, and load schedule to the folderSimple ? Yes - Flexible - No!600 projects! Must be a better way.
A better way• Primavera P6 Multiproject solution
Simple Schedules - MSP look-a-likes
Each standard & non stand school project
Detailed construction schedule to determine reasonable ‘construction period’
Detailed milestones , what would be monitored? Inspection dates?
Programme development for school projects
• Build a template for every eventuality• Difficult to insert requirements later• Activity Codes• Cash flow – cost curves• Labour allocation• Ruled out methodology manager• Robust structure • Baselines
Activity codes,, cost allocation for construction/refurbishment
Cash flows? Labour Resources?
Per School
Per round, and overall
Project Codes import via SDK
Project Coding Options
Sorting into standard & non standard projects
Develop a separate schedule per school for inclusion in tender documents
• Understand school requirements• Select template school, copy paste template to
school round• Amend project coding• Amend funding amounts• Assess special requirements• PDF to contract documents• Be flexible for change

Monitoring • Progress measurement by cash flow• School Principals verify progress by contractors• Payment made on progress of works• Reduced scope for TRPS, but ability to adapt• Database export o the DTEI data base using
reports CSV
