My first memory of drawing was in kindergarten, when a little curly-headed girl sitting next to me happened to mention that I was pretty good at it. This compliment was the start of two infatuations: one was for the little curly-headed girl, and the other was for drawing and art. And although the former exists now as only a sweet childhood memory, the latter has since blossomed into a lifelong passion. The artwork in this book is the product of that passion to date. They are the pieces I am most proud to have created, and just as proud to show you. They do not, however, represent the limits of my capabilities— after all, like any great love affair, I believe the best is yet to come.
