Equipment and taking the photos

• Whilst taking the photos, we used the tripod to get a stilled shot and to avoid any shakiness, or any unfocused angles. This photo shows me, as the photographer holding the equipment ready for the shot.

Lighting

• During the photo shoot, we made sure that the photos were well lit using 2 side lights and a flash that went off once the camera was used. This ensured our shots avoided any dingy lighting, or any bad shadowing behind the model and so made the transition a lot smoother, leaving us with successful photos.

Camera

To ensure we had a variety of shots to use for the magazine, I took around 210 different photos from different angles, different lighting choices, and props/makeup etc. This gave me a choice for images so I didn’t have to reshoot for any more. The camera I used was the Nikon D3000

Photo shoot

Images of the model arriving and standing infront of the white background, and to the right of the lighting. The model changed outfits 3 times during the shoot to enable we had a variety of shots to use, for the cover, contents page and the double page spread. I also included other people in my shoot, to appear as a different girl group, and so can be featured throughout the magazine, so its not just focused on one particular artist.
