COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
T’ai Chi Chih® A Moving Meditation T'ai Chi Chih practice is designed to develop internal energy and inner stability. T'ai Chi
Chih practice has been credited with providing positive effects on the blood pressure,
weight control, stress management, and other physical and emotional aspects of life.
What you learn when you attend a T'ai Chi Chih® class 19 easy to learn movements and one posture
No special physical abilities are required
Standing movements done slowly and gently
Movements can also be done seated
It is not a martial art nor is it a religion
It brings great peace and serenity to those who practice regularly.
During class participants are given a brief history of T'ai Chi Chih, an explanation of intrinsic energy - Chi ' yin and
yang, and how this energy is stored in the body to provide a healthy balance.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Margery Erickson has earned degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Millersville University in social
science and special education. Her interest in T'ai Chi Chih began in 1993 while attending a Life Spectrums
conference. In 1997 she became an accredited instructor and has taught classes in the Hanover area through
Harrisburg Area Community College, the YWCA, the Hanover Wellness Connection, All Is Well, the Lincoln
Intermediate Unit #12, Adams County Arts Council, and Southern York County School District. She is a retired
learning support teacher.

YoCardio® is a brand new, ALL LEVELS, all ages, full body, low impact, bare footin, Cardio Vinyasa flow to hip hop music. This fusion of Yoga and Cardio focuses on strengthening and lengthening the heart, buttocks, thighs, abdominals, and back, which will all increase metabolism!!! This all levels Yoga class includes a combination of exercises to lengthen, strengthen, and calm the mind body
and spirit. Judy who is a RYT 200 (registered yoga teacher), YogaFit Level 1, Level
2, Post and Pre Natal Yoga Teacher will guide you through this ancient form of
exercise. These exercises will help to ease back and joint pain, lower cholesterol and
blood pressure, increase energy, the immune system and metabolism, and much more.
Whether you are a beginning exerciser, athlete, golfer, stressed parent, or need a

Learn the basics of Small Engine Repair, theory and operation
including 2 & 4 stroke cycle engines; carburetion and fuel systems;
ignition systems; tune-ups and valve jobs to complete

experience. Bring your own small engine for the last four sessions.

BEGINNING CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH
This course is designed for those who have little to no knowledge of Spanish.
Each of the five weekly sessions will focus on the development of speaking
and listening skills. Content will be presented in contextualized situations
including greetings and courtesies, who are you, naming things, table talk,
and finding your way around. A sixth session designed to meet the needs
and interests of students will be organized. An advanced beginner’s course
will be offer in the Spring of 2017.

“S.W. WELDING ACADEMY”
&
“KLK School of Welding & Theory, Inc.” FOR THE BEGINNER AND ADVANCED
WELDER
This course is designed to teach industry principles of welding and cutting with emphasis on hands-on-
instruction. A customized welding class for the beginner to the advanced welder, where learners have a
choice in welding processes based on individual needs. Instruction includes welding safety, theory and
welding techniques utilizing common welding processes in the areas of Shielded Metal Arc Welding
(SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG), Oxyacetylene cutting
and Plasma cutting. Welding and cutting position skills taught are based on student skill level and
desired occupational needs. This course will meet Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM – 8:30
PM for 16 weeks. Students are required to supply their own welding safety apparel. Opportunity to
purchase required welding safety apparel, attendance requirements and required textbook/workbook
will be explained the first evening of class. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the
semester. Cost for the class is $1400, which includes the cost of the books.
South Western senior high school students can receive one (1) high school credit upon successful completion of the class.
