Admissions Process

Admissions Process

Become a part of IEAt IE Business School, we take a holistic approach to evaluating each candidate. We look at every aspect of your application, as such, no single element is of unique importance within the evaluation, but rather a compilation of all the elements submitted.

The application provides the Admissions Committee with fundamental information when it comes to evaluating candidates. It is therefore essential that you include detailed information on relevant academic and professional achievements, together with concerns, aspirations and motivations that could support your application.

Please note that IE Business School will verify application information as needed and reserves the right to deny candidates admission at any point in the application process if a discrepancy between the self-reported information and information provided through verification is noted.

IE Business School’s Master in International Management is designed for recent graduates from all backgrounds and young professionals at the start of their career with up to two years of work experience who seek an innovative and challenging business program and want to learn the most up-to-date management tools and techniques.

The admissions process starts with your submission of the online application along with the supporting documents. IE’s online application is designed to be completed over several sessions. You are able to work on or review your online application at any time, as the content will only become available to the Admissions Department upon submission.

Admission is granted on a rolling basis and although there is no deadline for applications, early application is recommended given the limited number of places on the program.

The application and the 3 essays should be completed in the language (English or Spanish) in which you plan to study the core part of the program.

Should the Admissions Committee grant you an interview after the review of your application and supporting documents, you will be contacted to schedule an interview, the interview examines the data provided in the application in greater detail, tests your communication abilities and evaluates whether your profile will meet the demands of the program. It is recommended that the interview be conducted in person, as it is an integral part of the admissions process. Interviews may be scheduled on campus, with one of our international offices, in coordination with an international or local IE event, or by phone should you be unable to meet us in person.

After the interview, it will take roughly 2-3 weeks for the Admissions Committee to review your file and provide you with a final decision.

Admission is valid for two intakes, the intake you apply to and the following.

Master in International Management Team

If you would like our Admissions team to review your CV to see if your profile is aligned to the program, or if you would like to set up an informative interview with a member of the Admissions team, please email us at [email protected]

Only one exam is required, however if you take the IE Admissions Test and also have a result from the GMAT or the GRE, please present both results.

The GMAT and GRE exams are designed to measure verbal and analytical skills as well as writing skills. GMAT and GRE scores are valid for five years and can be sent by the test administrator directly to IE.

• GMAT reporting code is 6XT-ZH-98. To go green and reduce paper waste, we will retrieve your GMAT score directly, so let us know in the application if you have taken the GMAT

• GRE reporting code is 0108

The IE Admissions Test is comprised of questions measuring analytical, logical, verbal and numerical capacities. Given that the exam is designed to test capacities and not knowledge of specific fields, it does not require special preparation. Candidates are allowed to use a calculator for the section that tests numerical skills. The exam also includes a personality test designed to compile a psychological profile of each candidate. For more information about the IE Admissions Test please go to http://admissiontest.ie.edu

The IE Admissions Test should be taken in the language in which you desire to study the program, just as is required of the online application. To register for the next IE Admissions Test, please go to www.ie.edu/events.

The language certificate is an important part of the process, however, candidates must demonstrate throughout the entire admissions process, sufficient communication abilities to meet the demands of the program.
