Southampton Rose Society I Who We Are
Founded in 1976, The Southampton Rose Society (SRS) is an organization dedicated to beautifying the historic Village of Southampton by maintaining five public gardens, including the magnificent Rose Garden at the Rogers Memorial Library (RML). Many people may not realize that the beauty found in these rose gardens is privately funded. Additionally, the SRS offers educational lectures by some of the world’s most famous rosarians, gardeners, floral designers, photogra-phers and perfumers.
The SRS is affiliated with the American Rose Society (ARS), dedicated to educating children and the public about the deep and ongoing rewards of gardening and rose care.
Our purpose is to promote our National flower, the Rose. Consulting rosarians are available as expert advisors to introduce everyone to the rewarding hobby of growing and exhibiting roses. Membership is open to all.
The SRS is part of the New York District of the ARS, which is the largest specialty plant society in the United States. Each member in good standing, is invited to participate in all national and district con-ventions and shows. We are proud to say, the SRS has the largest membership of all local Rose Societies in the United States.

Rose Garden Brick Project | Purchase a Brick with an Inscription
In 2003, the Southampton Rose Society designed, built and dedicated the magnificent SRS Rose Garden at the Rogers Memorial Library to the Village and people of Southampton. Each year, people from all over the world visit the garden to enjoy its visual and fragrant beauty. Many of the bricks in the paths around the garden are inscribed as tributes to a loved one’s birthday, anniversary, or in honor of their loving memory.
The cost of inscribing a brick is $250. The form is attached to this brochure, or can be filled out online at www.southamptonrose.org
