YearThreeAfteryour

visitwewerevery

concernedaboutthe

animalsinourwildspaces,

thehedgehogs,birdsandlivestockinourlocalareaandanimalswholiveinourriversandseas.

Thechildrendecidedtherewereclearrightandwrongthingstodowithourwaste.Wewantedtothinkabouthowtomakesurewecapturedalltherubbish(andnoneescapedtobecomelitter).WewantedtotrytoencouragepeopletoRECYCLEanduseLESSPLASTIC!

EducateWecouldeducatewithposters,signsandconversationswithourfriendsandfamilies.

Weareworkingonreducingplasticusageinourschool.Wehavestoppedsellingwaterindisposablebottlesandintroducedreusableones.

Wehopetostopsellingyoghurts(whichincludedisposablespoons)atbreaktoo– theSchoolCouncilisdiscussingthis.

OurIdeaforPoliticians

Wethinkthereshouldberecyclingmachinesinpublicplaces(outsideschools,supermarketsortrainstations).

Peoplecouldputtheirplasticwaste(whereitcouldbecollected,sortedandrecycled)andwouldreceiveasmallamountofmoneyperitem–andaflowermadefromrecycledplasticasathankyoufromtheenvironment.
