REPORT WRITING 

A RISE IN INDISCIPLINE AMONG STUDENTS

Today indiscipline is being perpetuated on a daily basis by students’ especially teenage youth. Newspaper 

headlines are splashed with details of crimes ranging from petty chain snatching incidents to daring

 burglaries and gory blood chilling murders. A recent report shows that most of them have been either 

organized or executed by unemployed youth.

Indiscipline among students these days has become so rampart that it has led us to take violent actions

against them. Everyday there are numerous number of cases which make us feel ashamed of ourselves as

we also belong to the same community. We frequently come across the news regarding the strikes,

fighting, cheating, and theft etc. in which generally the so called builders of the nation are involved. The

students are turning aggressive, shameless and unpredictable. The major cause behind such a failure is our 

defective educational system, where too much stress is given to the completion of course and the teachers

hence under the pressure of the authorities find very less time to interact with students. They just stop to

impart moral education and could not spare anytime in helping out the students in their personal

 problems. The other reason is the addiction of television and internet, which has made the world small but

has created a distance between family and friends. Moreover violence shown on TV has made children

less sensitive towards the pain and sufferings of others. The other major reason is that today most of the

 parents are working and therefore they have no time to discuss vital issues with their children. Parents

keep on satiating the monetary needs of their children and compromise with their demand of love. Money

has never helped in instilling good values it has always led to dangerous consequences.

In connection with solution of this problem there are several things which can be taken into action. First

of all education system should be reformed. More emphasis should be given to delivering the moral and

social ettiquetes among students. They must be taught lessons of obedience and discipline. Parents should

try spending more times with their children and must keep a check on them regarding their behaviourand

they must tell them about their responsibilities towards the elders and the society, this would help them in

developing themselves as responsible citizen.

This is the responsibility of parents, teachers and authorities to take some appropriate steps to save the

children from getting spoiled. It is very easy for students to go astray if not guided by the elders. Hence,

they must be saved at any cost as they are the future of our nation.
