HOME OF START-UPS
DO WE STAND?
WHERE Innovative and technology-oriented business start-ups find ideal conditions in Bavaria:
an excellent research infrastructure,
numerous global players (DAX listed corpo- rations) and
strong SMEs, as well as many hidden champions.
We are investing more than 330 million euros for start-ups during the period from 2015 to 2020.
DO WE WANT TO GO?
WHERE We want to become the No. 1 start-up region in Europe – something everyone should know.
To achieve this goal we will
improve taxation and regulatory framework conditions for venture capital,
offer founders better guidance and

WHAT DO WE OFFER?
For financing technology-oriented business projects in the seed and start-up phase a new fund generation was launched at Bayern Kapital with a volume of up to 85 million euros in venture capital.
We created the growth fund Wachstumsfonds Bayern with a volume of 100 million euros at Bayern Kapital with Bayern Kapital acting as co-investor alongside private investors. By the end of 2017, 12 business investments had been successfully implemented. Some 31 mil-lion euros from the Bavarian growth fund have realised about 198 million euros from partners and private investors.
By increasing the LfA/EIF facility once more from 150 to 200 million euros we continue to strengthen private venture capital funds in Bavaria.

NETWORK
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
New business founders find the right cooperation partners in every administrative district.
With WERK1 as blueprint we are developing 11 new incubation centres for digital start-ups in 21 locations.
To this end we are investing some 80 million euros.
The programme's focus is on networking. We believe that the networking of start-ups with established companies and academia is im-portant, as is the networking among digital incubator centres.
