MISSION: On order, 3d HBCT clears remnant elements of 72d Division and conducts stability operations in AO TIGER to secure host-nation population and prevent human suffering: on order, transitions control of AO TIGER to host-nation forces or other competent authority in order to prepare for future operations.

INTENT: The purpose of this operation is to prevent remnant enemy forces from reorganizing and transitioning to irregular warfare and disrupting transition of control of AO TIGER to host-nation forces. At end state, the BCT has destroyed remnant enemy forces in AO TIGER, defeated efforts to interdict MSR HONDA, and secured host-nation population centers. The BCT is prepared to transition control to host-nation authority.

DECISIVE OPERATION: Combined Arms BN #1 (two armor/two mech) attacks to clear CENTER CITY of remnant 72 BTG forces to secure host-nation population and prevent interdiction of MSR HONDA.

SHAPING OPERATION: Combined arms BN #2(-) (tow armor/one mech) in the south defeats hostile efforts to interdict MSR HONDA and provides security to displaced persons, refugees, evacuees (DPRE) site vicinity EAST CITY to prevent disruption of decisive operation in CENTER CITY and deny enemy efforts to intimidate displaced persons. RSTA SQRN #1 in the North assists host-nation law enforcement operations defeat hostile gang interdiction of humanitarian relief convoys and provides security to enable NGO delivery of humanitarian assistance WEST CITY and DODGE CITY. The BSTB conducts assessments to facilitate a rapid return of host-nation delivery of essential services.

The BCT reserve, Mech Company, locates with BSB vic WEST CITY with priority of commitment: 1) Main effort attack to clear CENTER CITY; 2) MSR HONDA security; and 3) Security of supply/relief convoys.

BCT FIRES will disrupt enemy mortars vic CENTER CITY and position to provide responsive precision fires to destroy remnant enemy forces in AO TIGER.

BCT ISR operation focus on: 1) Identifying the location and disposition of enemy forces vic. CENTER CITY; 2) Observation of MSR HONDA between PL RED and PL BLUE; and 3) Observation of DPRE traffic from CENTER CITY to EAST CITY.

SUSTAINING OPERATION: The BSB support area will establish vic WEST CITY with MSR HONDA, ASR FORD, and ADR BUICK as the primary routes used to sustain stability operations.

TACTICAL RISK is assumed in the Northeast sector of AO TIGER by utilizing primarily ISR assets to maintain situational awareness of hostile elements that may use mountains to reconstitute forces.
