SCHOOL FUNCTIONS

Foundation Day -Grand Parents’ Day We celebrated our 8th Foundation Day as ‘Grandparents Day’. The event began with welcome song followed by lightening of lamp. Students presented a mesmerizing dance and musical performance. Games like Bucket Ball, Balloon tying and Antakshari was thoroughly enjoyed by the Grandparents. Independence Day Celebration The Independence Day Celebrations began by unfurling of the Tricolor by the Principal along with the National Anthem. Students delivered speeches on this occasion. Students presented Patriotic Group Dance and Group Song performances.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION The day began with the morning assembly hosted by Satyam Gupta (School Caption ). The function began with lightening of lamp by Principal and teachers .BBPS’ites greeted and welcomed the teachers by traditional tilak ceremony and offered token of love and appreciation. They presented a dazzling cultural programme and shouldered the responsibility of teaching on that day .

MONTESSORI FANCY DRESS Fancy dress competition for Montessori was organized on the theme ’Gadgets and Gizmos’. Students participated with great enthusiasm and enacted as gadgets like Smart phones, Laptop, Camera, LED TV, Washing machine, Robot etc. The little angels also spoke effectively about the respective gadgets.

SKPE CONVERSATION WITH HIRA SECONDERY SCHOOL – PAKISTAN

A skype conversation was conducted with Hira Secondary School, Rawalpindi, Pakistan on the topic ‘Village Life of India and Pakistan. 10 students of class X participated in the conversation.

‘National unity day’ celebration 31st October , the birthday of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel one of the founding

fathers of Republic of India was celebrated with great pomp and show. Sardar played a leading role in the India's struggle for independence . We celebrated this day organizing Quiz (for class IX-X)and Poster making competition (for classes III-VIII) for the students of Lalit High School,Nawadi , VIrani Public School ,Nawadi along with students of our school.

INTER BBPS TOURNAMENT 18 Students from Bal Bharati Public School , Sipat participated in Inter School BBPS tournament in Delhi from 27th -31st October. Students participated in different Athletics disciplines, Volley ball, Table tennis and Badminton.

PARENTS TEACHERS SPORTS MEET

To celebrate Children’s day and to imbibe a bonding of friendship between teachers and parents, for the second time sports meet was held on 14th Nov between teachers and Parents.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD (ISA) BY BRITISH COUNCIL

The year 2013-14 has marked a milestone year for the school. It has bagged the prestigious International School Award (ISA) by British Council. It is the 1st school from Bilaspur and 4th school from Chhattisgarh to have bagged the award. This year the school imbibed International and Globalization in its regular curriculum. The year brought a new dimension to global outlook in its classroom.

GEOFEST 2014 , CMS LUCKNOW 6 students participated in Geofest – 2014 at CMS Lucknow. BBPS was placed at 4th position in Geotoons out of 90 participating schools from India & abroad.

6TH ODYSSEY INTERNATIONAL,CMS LUCKNOW Our school participated in ‘6thOdyssey International’ which was held in City Montessori School ,Mahanagar Campus- I,Lucknow. BBPS’ites competed with 700 students from 72 national schools of India and 20 international schools from Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Nepal. Abhrajeet Sarkar and Subhashish Sikdar of class XI bagged consolation prize in Litteraire Concours Quiz.

INTER SCHOOL ENGLISH DEBATE COMPETITION-

The Jain International school organized Interschool debate competition on the topic ‘Government should make special rules to tackle bullying in schools’. 14 schools comprising of 28 students of classes IX-XII of Bilaspur and Raipur participated. Anupam Pandey (X) was adjudged the first runner up in the competition.

Football Tournament

State level interschool soccer tournament was co-organised by navbharat news and C V raman university. Our school team was the first runner-up in the tournament and was adjudged the best team of bilaspur district. Our school was awarded runner-up trophy and Rs25000/-. ankush kerketta of class XI was awarded Rs1100/- by mr.Ajit jogi - former chief minister of C.G for his remarkable performance.

CBSE WEST ZONE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2014

DISTRICT LEVEL SKATTING TOURNAMENT District level skating championship was organized by Bilaspur Federation and Sports Council Sipat on 16th November 2014. The array of events included Road race, Time trial and Rink race for different age groups was held in NTPC skating ring. Skaters from various schools of Bilaspur participated with great enthusiasm . Young skaters from Bal Bharati Public School,NTPC Sipat bagged maximum medals.

MONTESSORI PARENTS WORKSHOP

To encourage healthy lifestyle hygiene among students and to develop a positive parents child relationship an orientation workshop was conducted for parents of Montessori by Citrus Solutions on 11th April 2014.

ABACUS WORKSHOP Abacus workshop was conducted on 22nd August 2014 , for the students of Classes III to VI.

ROAD SAFETY WORKSHOP

‘Road safety’ workshop was held on 22nd April by It was an interactive workshop for the Primary class students where students were enlightened about Traffic rules and Symbols used on road.

A fire safety class was conducted by the CISF, fire Wing on 15th April to make the students and teachers aware about the ways to handle fire safety equipments and how to react to a crisis situation.
