Food• All animals need food to grow, stay
healthy, and survive.• Each animal requires a different
amount of food.• For example, a leopard hunts and
kills other animals and eats them.
Water• Animals get water from water holes,
ponds, lakes, rivers, and streams.• Some animals rarely drink!
Shelter• Shelter protects animals from
enemies and harsh weather.• Some animals can even carry their
shelter with them! • A turtle is one of the animals that
