Navigational Warnings from Baltic Sea NationsBALTICO receives navigational warnings from all National Co-ordinators in the Baltic Sea Sub-area. The duty officer at Baltico evaluates the received warnings as follows:

- have the same or related information been received before from an other nation or source

- is the warning appropriate for Navtex

- if yes, does the warning need immediate broadcast on Navtex or could it wait until scheduled time

- which Navtex-transmitter shall be used

- could the text be shortened before transmission on Navtex, without changing the meaning

- is additional information needed from the originator

- is the warning rather a Baltic Sea Navigational W i h i l iWarning than a national warning

- is the warning a supposed Navarea warning and consequently need to be sent to Navarea One Co-ordinator
