I have always had a love for music from the moment I had my own sony walkman, old school like that, always rocks!
I knew early on that I wanted to get into the music industry, I had a love for music and always had headphones on. I was fortunate enough to get my first taste of live engineer-ing, at the age of 12, at a primary school concert, and from then on I was hooked. I knew then that I wanted to be an engineer. I started off as a DJ during my high school career and once I matriculated from high school in 2009, I went to study sound engineer-ing and after two years, graduated in 2012 receiving my Diploma in Sound Engineer with the specializa-tion in Live Sound, Post Production and became a Protools 210P Operator.
Since graduating I have been hitting the industry hard and enjoying every second of it. I was fortunate enough in mid 2012, literally right after my graduation, to have an opportunity to work in the industry, which I am eternally grateful for, as it allowed me to gain a lot of experience, learn so much and meet phenome-nal, great and truly awesome people whom I have learned so much from.
In the short time that I have been in this industry I have had many opportunities come my way, I consider myself lucky and feel that I have taken on any challenge I have
been faced with and came out on top, reassuring me that I am doing what I want to do, what I love to do and what I feel I am meant to be doing. I look forward to what awaits me and my future in this industry because I ready to face it all head on!

Craig Johnston (Delsinki Records) is a Melbourne based singer songwriter.He has been involved in several musical projects over the years. Most notably, he was the founding member of Gretchen Lewis, who released ‘Issue 1� in 2010 through Green Media. His latest and most intimate project, falls under the name Delsinki Records. Craig has begun to capture his uniquely deep, raw and earthy sound. His strong lyrics and melodies arrive from a place of truth and sincerity that in turn give the listener permission to relate and interpret the style and musical genre for them-selves.
Other note worthy credits – Craig performed at the Sydney Opera House, The Perth Concert Hall and the Wool Shed (Gnaraloo) in June/July 2012 as a part of the Australian Cham-ber Orchestra’s The Reef a creative collaboration between Richard Tognetti, Mick Sowry & Jon Frank.

2013 saw Craig singing along side Brian Ritchie from The Violent Femmes as a part of the 2013 ‘The Reef‘ Austra-lian/Hong Kong tour, which started February 22nd in Brisbane and finished up in Sydney at the Opera House on March 4th with dates between in Canberra, Melbourne, New Castle and Woolingong then onto Hong Kong for March 15 & 16.

BIOAfter taking a gap year in 2011 to travel the world, Natalie returned home to study Music Industry Business in 2012 at NMIT. During her stud-ies, she spend most of her spare time interning, playing in a band and running events. She worked under Alastair Burns, an artist manager who ran BalconyTV Melbourne. Over time Natalie was given the opportunity to produce and edit videos for BalconyTV Melbourne's Youtube Channel. Now in 2013 Natalie works as a Bar/Events manager at Kooinda Boutique Brewery, still taking time to work at Australian Music Festivals and co-produce BalconyTV Melbourne.

My name is Brenton Welsh and I am 18 and currently studding a Diploma of Screen and Media as well as finish-ing grade 12 at Chancel-lor State College. My past study has been in Cert IV in sound Produc-tion, and a Cert IV in Music. On top of all of that I am working as a sound/Lighting engineer with DW Sound, Park Productions Balcony TV and Stix n Sound (own business). I have been into music for a few years now i started on guitar but now I have spread to bass, piano, a little bit of the uke and double bass.

Cassie Walker (her surname should really be Runner!) has had nine years experience as a tour manager, music writer, TV & radio host, publicist and rock & roll DJ. Phew! Just writing that sentence was exhausting! She’s kind of like a walking, talking, adorable encyclopedia of music.A career born out of curiosity, she was a finalist in the Channel V presenter search 2009, voted #1 on the online polls and then went on to host Melbourne based, weekly, live to air music TV show 1700 for 2 seasons, then to host and produce various radio shows on SYN fm and joined the Balcony TV family in 2011 as the host of Balcony TV Melbourne. Cassie has since appeared on Balcony TV Brisbane and LA and now hosts Balcony TV Sydney, Heavy TV and Southern fm.

After 10 years in TV, Radio and Film working at the BBC UK, 2UE, Network Seven and Fremantle Media she felt it was time to take what she had learnt and start her own business. 3 years down the track and Justine is looking forward to the ever changing world of the arts. Justine & Madison Entertainment have already been to LA, Nashville, Afghani-stan, Melbourne and Brisbane and 2012 is looking to be even bigger for ME.
Madison Entertainment launched in December 2011 as the exclusive producer of Balcony TV Sydney. To date BTV Sydney has hosted Martha Wainwright, Louis London, The Falls, Melody Pool, Katie Brianna, John Vella, Hayes Carll & Little Green Cars. Before the end of 2013 Eskimo Joe will be added to that bill and we are currently in negotiations with the Australian tour manage-ment for DMB for a show in 2014.
As a freelance producer Justine has worked on various forms of content including a 12 part series for Nat Geo, a Cannes Award winning campaign for Air NZ, MTV, Samsung Galaxy and is currently in production for Australia's first feature length skateboarding film.
I LOVE BALCONYTVBECAUSE ...I love that it's the last post in unfiltered deci-sions about great music. Real people making real decisions about what music is in their city. No advertising dollars, no people above you telling you what you should play- other than it be great quality. Once upon a time it meant some-thing to be a DJ and have musical knowledge and musical taste. Due to all radio stations and TV stations being bought up by conglomerates it means that the lowest common denominator of music and opinion gets through. BTV allows for true, honest and unfil-tered opinions on great music in local areas to get heard on an interna-tional platform.

I just finished my Bachelor’s degree in E-concept develop-ment – online marketing and communication. Now, I am working as a TV and online journalist at the NDR (Public Broadcaster) and I am still working on my PhD thesis on Web TV. with a tiny balcony, rain, noise and even snow. That makes the shows so special. Plus: it is great to see the variety of the music scene in Hamburg and how many international bands come to play in Ham-burg and at BalconyTV Hamburg. I got to know so many great artists and bands while working for BalconyTV, I don't want to miss that.

Water! We have the Elbe and the Alster, we have a city-beach, some cool places and bars at the Schanze which is like the going out district in Hamburg and well, yes of course, we have the Reeperbahn, the red light district. This is quite touristy though but maybe a must see while being in Hamburg. We do have a great music scene with lots of places with live music - for example an old construction trailer which has a tiny stage in it.

After that I moved to Rome for one year (where I studied Philosophy) and then I went to Turin, in Piedmont. After another two years studying Communica-tion I started to work in the college radio as a speaker and producer for several kind of shows. Born 02.08.1982 in Kufstein, Austria as a son of Hans and Lisi who are running a small hotel in Walchsee. I grew up with lots of lovely guests and was always in touch with lovely guests, music and events. One of my favourite sports is football/soccer. Since 2009 I'm president of the local football club in Walchsee. Since 2009 I'm studying sports, culture and event management at the university of applied sciences in Kufstein. I made my bachelor degree in September 2012 and should make my masters degree by September 2014. I love music especially "hand-made" music. I'm doing a lot of smaller events in Walchsee. Parties, open air cinema, concerts, sledge race in winter and so on. I used to work for the tourist board of Kufstein where I was responsible for events organisation. Now I'm working in the hotel of my parents and I founded Seevent, my own small events agency, which is supposed to support culture and creativity in Walchsee and the surround-ing areas.

Kishmar Shepherd was born to capture the world around him. From a very young age he has been involved with the media, starting as a writer and branching into Photography and Cinematography. This driven young man started his photo journey with just a cell phone camera. While studying in Cuba, Kishmar would capture the world around him with his Nokia N94 cellular phone camera. This eye for images would be nurtured when he made a bold move to drop out of school in Cuba to join The University of West Indies Mona Campus in Jamaica, as a student of the Caribbean Institute of Media & Communi-cation. There, Kishmar specialised in Television Production but did not only apply his talents to academics, he also participated in several extra-curricular activities to developed his photography talents. He took photos for almost every event on campus and soon became renowned for his photography.His reputation quickly spread outside of the University, affording him opportunities to work with several corporate entities in Jamaica including Red Bull Jamaica, SWAT Productions, and the Jamaica Cultural Development Corpo-ration. Kishmar got his break in film as assistant director on the Jamaican Television show Island Rockers. He has also
written, directed and shot several of his own short films which have been featured in the Kingston on the Edge Film Festival in 2012 and 2013. In his final year of Universi-ty Kishmar was approached to be resident photographer and videographer at marketing firm Its Pixel Perfect using his talents to market their client’s brands. Kishmar would eventually leave the company after finishing University and return to his native Barbados to start his own company, Nu Visual Media.

BIOJeff Bates co-owns "Bates & Belle Studio" with his wife, Anabel. His love for audio engineering was discovered at the age of 17 when he received his first multi-track recorder and began recording music with his friends. This sparked the challenge of trying to achieve the same audio quality he was hearing on professional commercial releases. He attended classes at a local community college, but became frustrated at the slower pace at which the classes were being taught. Taking matters into his own hands, he absorbed every-thing he read in every book and magazine he could find about sound and the record-ing process. By the age of 20, Jeff began interning at a local studio. This led him to his first engineering gig. After about a year, the studio had closed down and he was on his own again. A few years later, a friend asked him, "why don't we start our own studio?" With that, he began scouring eBay and Craigslist for re cording equipment and, piece by piece, began building his very own studio. When his friend decided to carry on with other business ventures, Jeff's wife (girlfriend at that time) offered
to help carry on with the studio. With that, Bates & Belle Studio was born. Then, on one evening, Jeff received a call from a friend asking if he would like to help cover recording duties on a project for someone who couldn't make it. That project was BalconyTV. After his first filming session with the Balcony team, they excitedly offered him a position as a new engineer. He accepted. Jeff continues to work with bands as an engineer, a producer, and a musician.

BIOGrowing up in South Florida I have had the privilege of working and performing along side artists in our community at a young age. I've been in the music scene since my dad suggested I stop banging on pots and pans and go meet some other kids at school that also wanted to make a ruckus with 'instruments'...so long as I did it in someone else's garage. I started playing in local venues in middle school and started booking shows and events starting in high-school. Gradually I transitioned over to promo-tions and bookings, without even realizing it. A band would be looking for a venue and I would just so happen to know where they should go. Eventually I formed what is now called HomeGrown South Florida and Iamhome-grown.com. I promote local artists and musicians, book shows for them, connect and sometimes manage them. Iamhomegrown.com is an online persona where local talents can be showcased and artist and musicians can interact , post their works, sign up for events, post classifieds and raise support. I also book open mics and art showcases regularly in the area and work with many local venues and art groups. Sometimes I also sleep, but not for very long. As of now I am just trying to take all these ideas and projects and make them flow. I am for anything that will get the enormous amount of talent in South Florida to A. work together and B. Grace the ears of a larger audience. I look forward to working with anybody who digs these things!

Born in 1977. Decided to be a drummer at the age of 13 (first "drum kit" consisted of 2 drum sticks and a soccer ball - beating the air and soccer ball to the sound of the record player). Actually joined the band as a drummer in 1993 (tssss! It was a worship band in the local protes-tant church... so most of the drumming was actually learnt there... and most of my English too)) and since then was a part of 3 projects (as a drummer and as rhyth guitarist/vocalist) and did sessions/gigs with just about every local rock band.Started producing BalconyTV shows (book-ing bands, filming, recording sound, editing) in Kostroma in May of 2011. Day job - sales at a small privately owned elec-tric/electronic store. Been there for more than 10 years.
I LOVE BALCONYTVBECAUSE ...It is a great project. And "the beauty of it is simplicity" (Walter Sob-chak). As long you have a great view and a few dedicated teammates (AND if you know what you're getting into) - it is a fun ride! It is always wonderful to meet awesome and creative musicians, to discover music you never thought existed. But for the most part - it is the feeling of being involved with this global musical act and being an active part of something bigger than your own small home-town.

Born in Dublin Karl has been actively involved in visual communications for the last 20 years. Founder member of Laserworks Limited, the first design studio in Ireland to adopt Macintosh comput-ers, he has worked for many of Ireland's largest compa-nies, including KPMG, Siemens, Central Bank of Ireland etc etc. In 1990 Karl completed a Media Produc-tion Studies course in the Oscar winning Ballyfermot Senior College. The course which looked at all aspects of Radio and Television production further broaden Karl's already ample under-standing of the communica-tion industry.In 1997 he set up DNA a graphic design studio with colleague and long time collaborator Pat Quinn. My name's JO. I'm from West Cork but live in the city. I grew up in a music store and music played a major part in my family. Being the youngest, I was brought up on an eclectic mix of musics from the early 40s right through to the 90s. I played the piano from a young age and later, the guitar and percussion. I have always loved to sing. In 2003, I started my bachelor of Music at University in College Cork, where performance was a part of my degree and I also focused a lot on World Music, Music Technology, Editing Film, and much more. I started applying to start Balcony TV Cork in April 2011 and my first show went up in September 2011 and I've had two shows a week ever since, on a Tuesday and on a Friday. I sometimes run events in Cork in pubs and other music venues. I produce Balcony TV Cork, I do everything behind the scenes. I act as A&R, I do everything from admin to promoting and I have to arrange all the shoots, hire the equipment, upload and do everything neces-sary for the show to run other than record the visuals and audio. I have run two music festivals, the first I co-ran with three friends and the latter, alone, on 17.08.2013 this year on Sherkin Island in West Cork in Ireland. It was a complete success! Please watch our official video on YouTube 'Sherkin Respon-sibilities'. I hope to run another Sherkin Responsibilities music festival next year, between 15- 17 August 2014. Apart from Music, I love languag-es, I speak English, Irish, German and Italian fluently and I am constantly learning more languages. At the moment, I am learning Portuguese and Spanish. I have been teaching English as a foreign language for the past 14 years. Time flies!

It's great to be a part of a great team, all of us sharing similar passions, a love for music and promoting excellent local talent as well as international artists passing through and a love for our individual cities/countries. It is a great network and I have made great friends in the past two and a half years working here. I think it's an amazing way to get to know new music and it's easily accessi-ble and due to all the cities working together to create something larger, it's fun, it's like traveling virtually geographically through music with people you've never met in person but all with the same drive and love for music and our countries. It's also great to be promoting original music rather than all the music shows these days making stars out of people who do covers rather than encouraging original sounds.

The English market is a MUST and being a West Cork woman, I love the marina and Blackrock pier. If you have a bike, the cycle to Cobh from Cork is incredibly beautiful along the old Blackrock railway line.

My name is Pablo Gómez Hernández. I was born in Madid in 1986. I grew up in Alcobendas, a small city outside Madrid. At the moment I'm living in Cork (Ireland) working in a Sound Company call Outline Ireland. In Spain I worked in many places (car mechanic, sports shop, bike garage and more small jobs) while finish-ing my basic studies but I've always loved music so I studied sound (a two years degree). I came to Ireland in March 2012 to do my sound studies practice. I did it in Outline Ireland, the same company which I'm working at the moment.
I LOVE BALCONYTVBECAUSE ...I think it is a nice way to play live, meet new people and a great way for the bands to promote themselves. There is always very good atmo-sphere.
I have many favourite bands. I love music.

I started off with back-ground in Computer Science as I always loved computers, but left college to pursue a career in the media industry. So I went to film school for a few years to learn the basics then took off out into the big bad world to hone my skills. With a comput-er background I had a natural aptitude for the post production side of the film world, but I am equally as comfortable behind the lens of a camera as I am editing video or pictures.
I always had a huge interest in music, but never though I could make a career out of it. By sheer luck I fell into Balcony TV which combines my two biggest loves, Music and Film. Now I get to send every day scheduling the shows and making music videos for one of the best music video sites online and I love every second of it
I LOVE BALCONYTVBECAUSE ...I love Balcony TV because it combines my two greatest loves and inspirations, music and film. The only time I am happier behind a camera is when their is music being played on the other side. Finding new bands and hotly tipped artist to play on the Balcony is a joy at its worst and heaven at best. I love coming to work and eagerly await each and every shoot, and want to do my part to make the Dublin Balcony the best balco-ny of them all!

Sasha Hamrogue has over ten years extensive experience working in the media and entertainment industry as a writer, producer and director. Working at MTV Networks in New York City for close to a decade, Sasha rose up the ranks from writer to director in less than eight years, finishing her role as Director managing a news team of over ten staff, overseeing all elements of production from daily content editor to event coverage of the likes of the Grammy Awards, Academy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and more. BIOTina is a versatile presenter and development producer who is never short of enthusi-asm. She was scouted by ITN producers Jamie Scott and Jonathan Pascoe to be the voice of Heat’s Huge News, validating her popularity within the industry. Despite being a night role, she managed to deliver perky and humorous scripts at 3AM each day.
Confident with ad-libbing, autocue and scripts, Tina is a flexible presenter. Not only is she experienced within the field of broadcast, but she’s able to engage live audiences. Having hosted over 20 events at venues from Whisky Mist to Movida, she excites crowds to create an electrifying atmo-sphere.
Tina is currently presenting a music based-sketch show alongside CBBC’s Ben Shires - a format she wrote herself. Now writing formats for other presenters as well as herself at Red24 Management, she is also known in the music industry with her social media PR business Effusive.
Tina is also a trained singing teacher. With a great knowl-edge of music, particularly rock and jazz, she’s able to give fascinating commentary on the music industry and rising talents.

Born and bred in Water-ford by a very musical family, Amy was meant to work in the music industry. With a passion for showcasing local irish talent, Amy moved to Tralee to go to college and studied BA of TV, radio and new media broadcasting. My name is Steve and I co-produce Balcony TV Tralee. Originally from Cork, I am now living Tralee and studying a BA (Hons) in Music Technology. My course concentrates on various industries practices from Live Location Recording, Music Production and Enterprising, Media and The Arts. I then use these skills and practices and put them to use on the Balcony :) I am also a musician and gig on most weekends doing cover songs. I like rugby, pool and am fond of a pint of Guinness.
I LOVE BALCONYTVBECAUSE ...I would say that I had an infatuation with Balcony TV in my teens and as a singer songwriter at the time I tried to get on Balcony TV Dublin. In later years, Amy Jackman (BTV Tralee Presenter) approached me about setting up BTV Tralee. I jumped at the proposal and since then our balcony has gone from strength to strength. The best part of my role is the artist liaising and general interac-tion. You think that having such artists as The Stunning, Duke Special, Heathers and John Spillane on our Balcony that you would very quickly become star struck but in the fast paced BTV world there's little time for autographs and photos. That fascination never came to fruition and the acts we have on the Balcony are extremely down to earth and really friendly. Its a normal enough job with normal people :)
