We are privileged to have the opportunity, no matter how small, to do something to help.” Method 1 Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/Gas Mark 6. Grease and line a 23cm square or 30x20cm rectangular baking tin with baking parchment. 2 Place the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water, making sure the bowl does not touch the water. Remove from the heat once melted (about 2 mins). Stir, then set aside until room temperature. 3 Whisk the eggs and sugar in a large bowl and until pale and creamy. Add the chocolate mix and fold through gently using a spatula – don’t overwork the mixture. 4 Sift the flour, cocoa and salt into a large bowl. Gently fold into the chocolate mixture, then fold in the halva. 5 Pour the mixture into the lined baking tin. Dollop small spoonfuls of the tahini paste into the mix in about 12 places, then use a skewer to swirl them through to create a marbled effect. 6 Bake until the middle has a slight wobble – between 22 and 25 mins. If using the 30 x 20cm tin, bake for a few minutes less. The brownies may seem a little undercooked at first, but will firm up once they cool. 7 Set aside to cool. If you want to serve them warm-ish (and gooey), leave for 30 mins before cutting into 12 pieces. These keep well for up to five days in an airtight container. They also freeze well for up to a month.
