Developed training plans for the employment of a Scout Sniper Team. Preformed the duties of a Scout Sniper and Observer. Led a Scout Sniper Team through Battalion-level exercises including land navigation, patrolling,

urban operations, stalking, and live fire exercises. Tactically- and technically-proficient in precision fire weapon systems.

PSD Counter Ambush Element Leader/Assistant PSD Convoy Commander Jan 2011 – July 2011 3rd Battalion 9th Marines PSD Platoon, Marjah, Afghanistan

Assisted with the planning of over 150 successful PSD missions, including vehicle mounted missions and foot mobile missions.

Developed SOPs and instruction for the PSD platoon on machine gun gunnery, foot patrols, mounted patrols, Immediate Action drills, and MEDEVAC operations

Acted as the security manager and tactical advisor for high-level PSD missions ranging from 1 Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Commanding General, congressional delegates, and U.S. Senators.

Lead three squads of machine gunners on deployment to OIF on vehicle mounted patrols in Ubaydi, Iraq. Missions included security, reconnaissance, and convoy security spanning over 100 miles of area of operations (AO).

Responsible for the analysis of past hostile actions and aerial recon photos to conduct route and mission planning for equipment retrograde operations.

Lead a 12-man light infantry squad in combat operations in Marjah, Afghanistan. Missions included planning and execution of reconnaissance and surveillance missions, vehicle checkpoints, security patrols, key leader engagements with local national leaders, and direct action clearing and raids.

Responsible for the collection of information which was used and disseminated into intelligence for the Intel section of the battalion.

PSD/ Route Reconnaissance Vehicle Commander Jan 2007 – Feb 2008 Route Recon Section II MEF, Fallujah, Iraq

Led a vehicle team in support of a PSD and Route Reconnaissance section in support of combat operations in OIF on over 225 missions. Missions included Route Reconnaissance and PSD support of II MEF commanding officer staff.
