Pattern Making…….A pattern is the template from which the parts of a garment/accessories are traced onto fabric before being cut out and assembled. Patterns are usually made of paper, and are sometimes made of sturdier materials like paperboard or cardboard if they need to be more robust to withstand repeated use.

Important Notes1. To begin with, a Master Pattern is

developed according to the bag’s important part which is used to develop the other parts.

2. According to the bag’s Measurement Patterns are developed ( Cutting & Lining ).

3. Desired Fabric ( Leather, Leatherette, Canvas ) is taken and Cutting is done on it,( with appropriate seam allowance in the stitching and folding areas ). Notches are also given ( V shape cut, for attachment of fabrics in a proper proportion ).

4. Same applies for the Lining Fabric as well.

5. Desired threads are set in the sewing machine and Lining patterns are stitched ( starting with the bottom and gusset ).

6. When the stitching is almost done for both Lining & Cutting parts, pasting is done with the Gum, to stitch the Cutting & Lining fabrics.

7. Finally the Trims & Accessories ( Dog, Strap, Eyelets, Adjuster) are attached. And the Bag is ready.
