Our mission in White Settlement ISD is fostering a culture of excellence and empowering Brewer Bears to be the innovators and leaders of tomorrow by providing premier education. Our team continually strives to provide innovative and creative learning opportunities for our kids through technology, project-based learning, classroom transformations and more! We’re so excited to see what our kids will accomplish in 2019-20!

WSISD Named Dell EMC Model School District

WSISD was named a Dell EMC Model School District in 2018-19 and to continue expanding the district’s 1-1 technology initiative, our school board approved the purchase of Dell laptops for all third and fourth graders this upcoming year. All third through 12th graders will now have Dell laptops, and our

pre-kindergarten through second graders will continue to use iPads in the classroom. WSISD will also replace outdated projectors this year with SMART Boards (interactive white boards) in every fifth through 12th grade math and science classroom as well as every third and fourth grade room and one to two per grade in kindergarten through second grades. Our team of Dell EMC certified educators will continue to work with our staff to integrate the best practices in technology application, enhancing student collaboration, imagination and problem-solving.

Early Childhood Academy to Open in August We’re excited to announce the opening of a new Early Childhood Academy at West Elementary that will serve all of our pre-kindergarten and PPCD students this year. Parents will receive an email from Skyward in late July so families can complete the online, returning student registration process for the 2019-20 school year. The link will also be posted on the home page of the website, wsisd.com. The system allows WSISD to verify all student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the school year. The online registration must be completed in advance so families may receive their child’s schedules at Meet the Teacher/Back to School Night. Parents who need assistance with the online registration process or who do not have access to the Internet may attend registration at their child’s campus. Parents who no longer have a valid email address in the system should contact the child’s school beginning July 29.

New Students Parents must bring one copy of the following documents on the day of registration: birth certificate, immunization record, Social Security card, and proof of residency in the form of a current utility bill or lease agreement. Copies of birth certificates, shot records, and Social Security cards will be placed in the student’s permanent file. Each new student must also provide his/her most recent report card.
