HOOD OPTION Row 1 (RS): From RS with larger hook, join yarn with sl st to end of skipped front neck center sts, ch 1, working through both loops throughout, work 12 sc evenly spaced along side edge of front neck, sc in next 4 sts at top of Sleeve, sc in next 26 (28, 28, 30, 30, 32, 32, 34) back neck sts, placing a marker in space between sts following first 13 (14,14, 15, 15, 16, 16, 17) sc to mark center of back neck, sc in next 4 sts at top of Sleeve, work 12 sc evenly spaced along other side edge of front neck – 58 (60, 60, 62, 62, 64, 64, 66) sts. Move marker up as each row is worked. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc-flo in each st to last st; working in both loops, sc in last st. Row 3 (Increase Row): Ch 1, turn, sc-flo in each st to 3 sts before marker, 2 sc in next st, sc-flo in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc-flo in each st to last st; working in both loops, sc in last st – 60 (62, 62, 64, 64, 66, 66, 68) sts. Rows 4: Rep Row 2. Rep Rows 2-4 for 9 more times – 78 (80, 80, 82, 82, 84, 84, 86) sts. Rep Row 2 until hood measures about 12 1/4 in. (31 cm). Next 6 Rows (Decrease Rows): Ch 1, turn, sc-flo in each st to 4 sts before marker, sc2tog-flo, sc-flo in next 4 sts, sc2tog-flo, sc-flo in each st to last st; working in both loops, sc in last st – 66 (68, 68, 70, 70, 72, 72, 74) sts in last row. Fasten off. Fold last row in half and seam for top of hood.






HOOD TRIM Rnd 1 (RS): From RS with smaller hook, join yarn with sl st in one lower front corner of hood so that you are ready to work around hood edge, ch 2 (does not count as a st), work 73 dc evenly spaced along each side edge of hood; working along front neck edge,*dc in next 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3) sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) sts, 2 dc in next st; rep from * once more, dc in next 2 sts; join with sl st in top of beg ch-2 – 160 (162, 162, 164, 164, 166, 166, 168) sts. Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as st), *FPdc around next st, BPdc around next st; rep from * around; join with sl st in top of beg ch-2. Rep Rnd 2 for about 2 in. (5 cm). Fasten off. CORD With smaller hook, make a chain about 90 in. (228.5 cm) long. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Row 2: Turn, sl st in each sc across. Fasten off. Tug on cord slightly lengthwise to even it out. Beg at center front, weave Cord in and out through spaces between sts of center rnd of hood trim. Weave in yarn ends.
