Day Excursion Itinerary
The first stop on our way to the Peloponnese is the sacred land of Elefsina with its renowned
Elefsinian Mysteries of which Hercules was an initiate, with a visit to the archaeological site.
The impressive Corinth Canal is the crossing point from mainland to the Peloponnese where
Hercules performed 7 of his 12 Labours.
The land where Hercules captured the Ceryneian Hind (3rd Labour) is a place of legends and
great natural beauty to enjoy (Diakopto).
Our next stop takes to Stymphalia Lake with its mythological aggressive Birds (7 th Labour) in an
alpine landscape. Finally our way to Greece’s most important wine land of Nemea is where
Hercules accomplished its 1st Labour by exterminating the Lion of Nemea.
Our visit to one of Greece’s best wineries for a vertical wine-tasting of the fruity, noble red wine
Agiorgitiko, also named as the “Blood of Hercules”.
Nafplion is one of the most traditional and enchanting towns, a real treat for the visitors to walk
through its history-burden streets.
On our way back to Athens we pass from the picturesque bay of Peiraiki known for its nice
seafood tavernas.
