based in White River, South Africa. The company specialises in aquatic ecosystems
(rivers and wetlands) in sub-saharan Africa. The company aims to provide

Rob Palmer – Aquatic Ecologist. Rob is the founder director of Nepid Consultants CC. He has a BSc in Zoology from the University of Cape Town, and a PhD in Aquatic Ecology from Rhodes University, South Africa. He has over 20 years’ experience in aquatic systems and specialist knowledge of river regulation and river ecology. He is a registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (No 0080/06), a member of the SA Council for Natural Scientific Professions (No 400108/95), and an accredited SASS5 biomonitoring practitioner.

Warren McCleland - Terrestrial Ecologist. Warren has a National Diploma in Nature Conservation and over 15 years’ experience surveying flora and fauna throughout southern and south-central Africa and reporting results according to IFC Performance Standards. He has specialist knowledge of African plants, mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs. He co-authored the "Field Guide to the Trees & Shrubs of Kruger National Park & Mpumalanga", published in 2002, and is currently working on a field guide to the wildflowers of the Lowveld. Warren is a member of the Mpumalanga Plant Specialist Group, Bird Life South Africa and the Herpetological Association of Africa.
Shael Koekemoer – Diatom Specialist. Shael has an MSc in Ecological Remediation from the University of the North-West, Potchefstroom. Since 2005 she has been specialising in diatom based water quality assessments of aquatic systems. She is a member of Koekemoer Aquatic Sciences (KAS), which is a closed corporation specialising in aquatic sciences, primarily aquatic health and fisheries sciences biomonitoring of river systems. Duncan McKenzie – Terrestrial Ecologist. Duncan has a National Diploma in Nature Conservation and over 10 years’ experience in conducting baseline flora and fauna surveys throughout sub-Saharan Africa. He has specialist knowledge of African plants, mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs. Duncan is a member of Birdlife South Africa, an author of Birds of Mbombela and is currently working on a field guide to wildflowers of the Lowveld. Close Associates
