greeley dream team programs Educational Talent Search (ETS)
Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded pre-collegiate TRiO program
that creates educational opportunities for low-income and/or first-generation college
students while providing access to higher education and assisting in the transition to
college. Each year, ETS works with over 700 students, grades six through twelve in
Greeley-Evans School District 6, who have the drive to pursue a college education.
Services include, but are not limited to, one-on-one academic advising, tutoring, career
and college-based field trips, educational workshops, financial aid assistance, and
college preparation.
The Greeley Dream Team at Bella Romero Academy
The Greeley Dream Team and Bella Romero Academy have partnered together to
promote school success for Bella students through the Operation Graduation
Program. This program serves 6th through 8th grade students and provides them with
an Advisor. The Advisor promotes academic achievement, increased attendance,
positive behavior results, community resources, and graduation completion. The
Advisor meets one-on-one with the students on a regular basis and collaborates with
their parents to ensure student and program success. Additionally, the students
participate in educational workshops and field trips.
Discovery: The Peer Leadership Program at Jefferson High School
This program is a partnership between The Greeley Dream Team, Jefferson High
School, and United Way of Weld County. Discovery is a series of classes (Discovery
I, II, and III) that serves all Jefferson students. Discovery focuses on ensuring
successful academic, social, and emotional learning experiences. Students learn to
exhibit positive communication, leadership skills, personal and social responsibility,
and positive team building. Students will also participate in community service
activities while in Discovery II and III and, upon successful completion of Discovery
III, students are trained to handle mediation conflicts between their peers.
Teen Parent Class at Jefferson High School
The Greeley Dream facilitates the Teen Parent Class at Jefferson using an innovative
approach to coordinate community partners. These partners provide presentations
and speakers that educate and inform our teen parents on a variety of important topics
related to parenthood and raising children.
Educational Talent Search (ETS) 95% of our seniors graduated from high school.
62% went on to a college or university.
The Class of 2015 collectively received over $377,220 in scholarships. Included in
the various scholarships received, we are proud to share that we had 1 Daniels
Fund Scholar and 1 Dell Scholar.
The Greeley Dream Team at Bella Romero Academy 95% of our students maintained an annual attendance rate of 85% or higher.
85% of our students maintained zero disciplinary referrals.
83% of our students maintained good academic standing for the entire year as
measured by proficiency rates.
Discovery: The Peer Leadership Program at Jefferson High School 83% of our students attended and passed their classes.
School-wide, behavioral referrals decreased by 27%.
41% of our Discovery II & III students maintained a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Overall Jefferson High School Childcare Program Results 31 teen parents were served by the program.
24 infants and toddlers were served in the childcare center.
