Bankwest Changes to Privacy Laws – all Customers – 12Mar 2014 to Treasurer CAMS Email error, invite to be affiliated All Ford Day Thank you letter for Club members who participated. Out: Nil Moved : Barry Ferguson... Seconded: Jim Donovan ….. that the Inwards correspondence/emails be accepted, and the Outwards correspondence/emails are endorsed. Carried. Finance: Incoming $150 & $269.60 from Dinner, resulting in a small surplus for the Club. Outgoing to Shire for power Stationery & Telstra, leaving a balance in cheque account of $6728. Together with Term Deposits a total of $32719.22. Term Deposits maturity sorted, now in Calendar for maturity dates. Accounts for payment, Fred for stationery $205.40 & Truck license $38.20. Moved: Stan Eastwood… Seconded: Jim Donovan… that the Treasurer’s report be accepted and accounts passed for payment. Carried Reports: Shed Report: Mr Ducat has been contacted re the blast cleaning of the Shed. To start again on 27th Jan. Half has been done already. We need a busy bee for the Saturday before the Swapmeet. Bert and Angie are not available this year, Stan & Malcolm to assist with parking. Jim has Drinks & water in hand, using Lions Mobile Cool room again, Jim does need a hand, especially to have a break. Stan will talk to Police, ‘Slow, Event ahead’ signs could be used, & looking at opening earlier. Events : Avon Valley Vintage Festival: On 1st & 2nd March (long weekend). They would like up to 10 cars & some motorcycles. Vehicles left in situ will be under security, same as last year.
Other events coming up for the year are in ‘Coming Events’ and are listed as they come to hand, so please keep your eye on the Club Calendar. Moved: Murray Sumpton… Seconded: Theo Bekkers (Jr)… That the reports be accepted Carried New Members: Nil General Business : *Classic Car Show: Mussel Pool @ Whiteman Park, 27 April. Reply by 7th Feb if participating as a Club, Orientation day 23 March. Check with Andrew Wells & Secretary to liaise re attendance. *Old Northam Railway Station – Parking: No more communication since acknowledgement of our letter. *Singer: vehicle for sale, but no other details – advised to get in touch with our Club re an ad. *Dashboard maintenance: Query as to whether anyone is known to be available & able to carry out this type of work. One such contact in Northam has closed down. There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.40pm. Presidents Report February, 2014 The Swap Meet was once again very successful and growing all the time. We had some very pleasing comments from people who have been attending for many years and say they will be continuing to support us. Many thanks to all those members who attended the Busy Bee on Saturday and all those who worked so willingly on Sunday. Thanks also to the Lions for manning the gate again and they did a wonderful job of keeping the cars flowing very well. Not to be forgotten were the hot food outlets who kept up to the demand and we certainly couldn't do without them....thank you all. The Avon Valley Vintage Festival is coming up on 1st -2nd March and the AVVVA will have quite a display of members and club cars in attendance. Also coming up is Brookton Old Time Motor Show on 22nd March and The Tin Dog Motor Weekend & Swap Meet Weekend at Dowerin on 22nd - 23rd March. Cheers John
