AVIATION CHALLENGE ® 2015 Scholarship Application Information

Eligibility:Children or Grandchildren of Tennessee Valley AAAA Chapter members who are between the ages of 9 (currently attending or have completed 4th grade) and 18 (but have not yet started college) are eligible to apply by:

1. Filling out this application (reverse side) and submitting no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, 20 March 2015.

2. Completing a 250 word essay entitled, “Why I Want to Attend Aviation Challenge.”3. Obtaining two letters of recommendation from people other than relatives.

Please ensure all pages are 8 ½ by 11 inches. Assemble all application components (this form, the essay, and the two letters) and forward to ensure arrival by 20 March 2015. Email submissions to AvnChallengeScholarship@gmail.com

Application assessment:1. All applications will be pre screened for compliance with submission rules.2. Compliant submissions will be reviewed by the U.S. Space & Rocket Center®.3. Final determination will be made by Tennessee Valley Chapter, AAAA Scholarship

Board, and U.S. Space & Rocket Center® based on essay and letters.4. Award, in the form of a gift certificate redeemable during scheduled 2014 Aviation

Challenge events, will be announced during the March-April AAAA Monthly Membership Meeting.

5. Each Scholarship covers tuition, meals and lodging for one student. Incidentals, travel, or items like flight suits are not covered by this scholarship award and must be managed by the awardee.
