Kolymbethra Garden is a rare archaeological and agricultural jewel; an extraordinary place that encapsulates the colours, avours and aromas of Sicily and – through its archaeological nds and its hypogea, excavated 2500 years ago – tells the story of ancient Akragas, the city now called Agrigento.
The wonderful Archaeological Museum is a must for anyone who comes to visit Agrigento. Its immense and priceless heritage is shown within 19 rooms offering visitors the chance to learn about what was once the grandeur and importance of Akragas to the Greeks. In addition to a rich collection of Greek pottery and various objects found around the city, there is the impressive Telamon, transported from the temple of Jupiter, placed upright in the large central room.

The Valley of the Temples is certainly the most important testimony of the ancient, classical culture of Sicily. It brings together the temples of gods goddesses as well as the area of the necropolis and sanctuaries outside the walls.
