All events and activities are free of charge unless otherwise stated

St James’ Church is open for visitors on Tuesdays between 12noon– 4pm and Thursdays between 9.30 – 11.15am, or by arrangement.

Drop in to St James any Tuesday between 1–4pm – view historic church and graveyard, exhibitions, archive films, publications, family and local history advice .

West Newcastle Picture History Collection holds a treasure trove of over 19,000 photographs of West Newcastle as far as out as Throckley from the 1880s to now.

Awaken memories of earlier times. Look through this wonderful collection of photographs. Even better, bring your own photos to add to the collection.
