Algebra II – This course will enhance and expand the mathematical foundations of Algebra I and Geometry. The course will stress the fundamental extension of
previous mathematics and the preparation for future higher-level mathematics courses. It will involve operations with real and complex numbers as well as
matrices. The problem solving processes will use functions and relations. Within the course applications of math, and while satisfying predictions based on a set
of data, the use of data analysis, and statistics will be justified. Students who master CareerTech Algebra II will gain experience with quadratic functions, conic
sections, logarithmic and exponential functions, linear functions, solution methods for systems of linear functions, and matrix operations.
Geometry – This in-depth course will use a variety of methods and application (concrete to abstract) to teach the major concepts of Geometry. The maintenance concepts including Polynomials, Exponents, Expressions, Slope, and Data Displays have been taught previously and are a necessary foundation for this course. Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus – This course is designed to be in preparation for Calculus or AP Calculus. A graphing calculator is recommended. The first part of the course includes a study of six basic functions of trigonometry, solutions of right and oblique triangles, Identities, and complex numbers. The calculator is used as an aid to computation. The second half of the course gives a review study of straight lines, conic sections, simplifications of equations, algebraic curves, transcendental curves, a completed study of straight lines, simplification of equations, polar coordinates, and introduction to limits and derivatives.

Basic Medical Assistant - Students learn the role of the basic medical assistant. They will learn a brief history of medicine, medical assistant characteristics, how to gather patient history information, and patient assessment, and minor office procedures assisting. Curriculum content will includes practicing good ethical behavior, communication skills, Phlebotomy, and other basic skills related to medical office assisting. Students use theory content in practical clinical experiences. Core Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology are taught.
Nursing Assistant – This career major is ideal for the high school student who is interested in nursing. The occupational outcome is a long term care certified nursing aide that is qualified to work in long term care facilities. This career major will also allow the completer the opportunity to gain advanced standing credit in a licensed practical nurse career major.
Multi-Skilled Aide - The CTTC Health Careers Core Curriculum, Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology are included
in this major. Students complete a long-term care aide career major, dementia care, phlebotomy skills and the first two courses of
the Practical Nurse career major. Students must pass the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s certification exams for Long
Term Care Aide to work in most facilities as a CNA.

Practical Nurse - Core Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology for Practical Nursing, as well as Long Term Care Aide are
included in this career major. This career major prepares the student to become a Practical Nurse, an important member of the
health care team who works under the supervision or direction of a Registered Nurse, licensed physician or dentist. Students will
learn the role of the PN and how to care for a variety of patients including geriatric, pediatric, oncology, and pre/post-operative
clients. Students will learn how to identify patient problems, identify appropriate interventions and evaluate nursing care. Graduates
of this career major will be eligible take the NCLEX-PN and become licensed through the Board of Nursing. College credit may
be awarded for coursework following completion of the career major.
Chisholm Trail Technology Center is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Graduates of this state-approved program are eligible to apply to write the National Council Licensure Examination
(NCLEX) for (registered or practical) nurses. Applicants for Oklahoma licensure must meet all state and federal requirements to hold an Oklahoma license to practice nursing. In addition to completing
a state-approved nursing education program that meets educational requirements and successfully passing the licensure examination, requirements include submission of an application for licensure,
a criminal history records search, and evidence of citizenship or qualified alien status [59 O.S. §§567.5 & 567.6]. To be granted a license, an applicant must have the legal right to be in the United
States (United States Code Chapter 8, Section 1621). In addition, Oklahoma law only allows a license to be issued to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and legal permanent resident aliens. Other qualified
aliens may be issued a temporary license that is valid until the expiration of their visa status, or if there is no expiration date, for one year. Applicants who are qualified aliens must present to the
Board office, in person, valid documentary evidence of:
1. A valid, unexpired immigrant or nonimmigrant visa status for admission into the United States;
2. A pending or approved application for asylum in the United States;
3. Admission into the United States in refugee status;
4. A pending or approved application for temporary protected status in the United States;
5. Approved deferred action status; or
6. A pending application for adjustment of status to legal permanent resident status or conditional resident status.
The Board has the authority to deny a license, recognition or certificate; issue a license, recognition or certificate with conditions and/or an administrative penalty; or to issue and otherwise discipline
a license, recognition or certificate to an individual with a history of criminal background, disciplinary action on any professional or occupational license or certification, or judicial declaration of
mental incompetence [59 O.S. §567.8]. These cases are considered on an individual basis at the time application for licensure is made, with the exception of felony convictions. An individual with a
felony conviction cannot apply for licensure for at least five years after completion of all sentencing terms, including probation and suspended sentences, unless a presidential or gubernatorial pardon
is received [59 O.S. §§567.5 & 567.6].”
