ABSTRACT 

An autonomous vehicle or robo t is a robo t that performs behaviors

or tasks with a high degree of autonomy, which is particularly des irablein fields such as space exploration, household maintenance (such as

cleaning), was te water treatment and delivering good s and s ervices. All-terrain vehicle is a vehicle with large tires, designed for use on rough

ground. In this project a vehicle of 750 x 750 mm capab le of carrying aload of about 10kg is designed, fabricated and programmed for

autonomous control. The po wer generation is done with the help of anelectric motor and a battery. The transmission used is a simple chain-sp rocket system. The suspension used is double wishbone suspension

system. A linkage type steering system is used. For an autonomousvehicle three parameters should b e c onsidered strictly Vehicle Control

mechanism, Obstacle sensing, Navigation and Path determination.Vehicle Control Mechanism c omprises of Acceleration, Deceleration

and Braking. The vehicle control is d one by using Relay Based Mot orShield and Arduino MCU. The obstacle detection and Navigation is

done by using a proximity sensor and GPS.
