Automated Train Ticket

Validation and Verification

System

Under the Guidance of : Prof. Prashant B. Dongare.

Introduction

Indian Railway’s one of the most eldest, biggest andconvenient means of transport in India. And beingthe most eldest and biggest it has very tedious jobswith it. By throwing some light on one of its tediousjob that is Ticket validation and verification work ofTTE(Train Ticket Checker). In this project we aremaking some efforts to digitize the Indian Railway’sTicketing System by making the proper andcomplete use of technology as per our completeknowledge.

Motivation

Huge paper work in Railway’s ticketing system andmanagement in which TTE(Train Ticket Checker),has to go berth by berth for validation andverification of the tickets which have become ahectic job. So, this real life problem arising as aninconvenience for Indian Railway’s Ticket Checkersmotivated us to build a solution.

Objective

To efficiently digitize the ticket validation andverification system.

To reduce paperwork.

To reduce corruption.

To save time.

Existing System

Main motive is to ease the process of ticket booking by avoiding the hectic process to stand in a queue.

Train ticket can be bought on a simple smart phone application.

Generation of the QR Code on ticket.

QR reader checks the QR Code

Validating the Ticket with the help of GPS.
