REMINDERS:  

1. Before you travel:  ○ Please ensure that your passport is valid at least 6 months from the

date of your departure.

○ It is also advisable for you to obtain travel insurance to cover your

travel during the duration of your stay in Philippines, in case of any

unfortunate incidents.

○ Ensure you have the address of the accommodation you are staying

at, if requested by Immigration.

○ Please inform and provide details of your travel itinerary, time, and

location to your friends, family and country representative.

○ CLOTHING: Rainfall is to be expected during the event. Raincoats or jackets are

encouraged. Temperatures in the Philippines change abruptly so lightweight clothing is also advised.

○ LANGUAGE: Filipinos speak English as this is the second language. However, a lay person normally mixes English and the local language so you may need to clarify.

○ CURRENCY: The currency in the Philippines is Peso. Bill denominations are in 1,000, 500, 100, 50 and 20. The US Dollar exchange rate is about Php50 – USD 1. Please check the latest exchange rates.

○ COMMUNICATION / INTERNET: You can purchase local prepaid telephone cards at the airport and from stores around the city. WIFI is available in the hotel. Philippines country code is +63.

○ WEATHER: Inclement weather condition due to typhoon/ rainy season.
