PARISH COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Our parish is seeking a Parish Communications Coordinator. This position will be responsible for communications to parishioners and the wider community, to include preparation of the parish weekly bulletin, development of a parish newsletter, maintaining the parish website, e-mail communication with the parish and other duties as assigned by the pastor. This position requires skills in interpersonal communications and writing. It is anticipated that this position will be 20-25 hours per week. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a way of welcoming new members in the Catholic Church. Seven new faith-filled people were received into our parish family at the Easter Vigil in 2016.You are invited to be a part of the RCIA process if:

• You have no faith tradition or are from other traditions and want to know more about the Catholic faith.

• You are Baptized but have not received Eucharist or Confirmation.

• You are a Catholic who wants to know more about your faith.

• You are a confirmed Catholic, willing to walk with a candidate as a Sponsor.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION UPDATE

Registration materials for religious education are available on the parish website or in the parish office.

Plan to attend St. Bernard’s Parish Picnic Sunday, September 25, at Lakeview Park on Allen Blvd, here in Middleton. The picnic will begin with a Mass in the park at 11:00 AM. The Parish Picnic is a social event that kicks off our fall parish season. Immediately following the Mass, lunch will be catered and served from Noon to 1:30 PM. A 54-Day Novena Rosary is being held, leading up to the National Rosary Rally in Washington, D.C. on October 7 (the Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary).
