Male- 7Female-13This suggests that I should have been more equal in my distribution of the question trying to gain a more level amount male and female to gain a more accurate reading of the magazine.

The target audience for my magazine was 16-25. I gave my questionnaire to only 16-25 which shows I did not get enough of a range and showed that I was biased to the target audience I was looking for. However, by gaining only my target audience it means I can focus more on my target audience rather than collect data which is not relevant to my audience.

My results show that clearly the majority of people only read magazines yearly with nine people. However, the next highest is monthly, this is the frequency I am going to use as it is the second highest, there is still a more regular frequency than yearly and it allows me to charge more than weekly.

The results for this demonstrate the two amounts people would be most willing to spend are £3-3.99 and £1-1.99. the average monthly magazine is usually £3-3.99 so this is the price I would use. This means that I can get a good understanding of how much the audience would be willing to pay and gives me a clear showing of which ones they would not.

The colour scheme is a massive factor in the theme of a magazine colour. This chart allows me to collate the information and gives me a good understanding of what colours would be used most frequently. The two clear favourites are red and black which means these will be the colours is use to represent my magazine and have these as the generic house style of the magazine. As we can see yellow and green are clearly not favourites.

This question was very good for giving me key ideas to creating a title for my magazine. However, this method could have been more controlled by maybe giving them options rather than suggestions. Of all the results; loud, drums, queen and guitar were the most frequent words suggested, these are all relatable to rock one way or another whilst I still have other interesting suggestions like heavy, metal and darkness.

Of the four fonts number 2 was a clear winner as this most resembled the rock theme. Although, my option would have been number 3 the target audience clearly shows 2 is the favourite. However, I only gave 4 options so in future I could possibly add more options to gain a broader range.

All of the options I gave in the questionnaire were ticked which suggests that this question was not specific enough. However, this information is good as it allows me to specify what content they would prefer in the magazine. I possibly could have given and other option to see what else could have been added. Interviews are a clear winner so this will be what I feature in my double page spread.

This question was key in founding out what type of artist would be most appealing to my target audience. This piece of research has enabled me to determine that headline artists are what the audience is looking for. I could have put the option of other to gain more information.

This question enabled me to be able to get a good idea of what people expect as Kerrang is a big brand so this is what I will look at for ideas as the majority of people put kerrang for this question. NME is the next I would use as this gained 7 suggestions so these two magazines are the two I would look for most. However, some people did not answer this question as they did not know any magazines which shows I need to be more narrow with my questions.
