Audi Space Frame technology, yet another frst in the

automotive industry. To date, Audi has sold more than

300,000 cars with an aluminum rame. And no wonder:

the combination o less weight, greater rigidity, improved

economy and better road dynamics makes one o the

worlds most intelligently designed cars an obvious choice.

Aerodynamics

It has long been accepted that the body o a car should

be shaped or minimum wind resistance in order to

conserve uel. Ahead o the curve, Audi conducted its

frst experiments on its Type K model in 1923, buering

its streamlined structure with a body made o aluminum

Today, with experiments carried out in a specially

designed wind tunnel and with a unique underbody

when changing lanes. A radar system monitors the areas

LED light in the exterior mirror. The system gives a warning
