Personal Statement

All my life I have been fascinated with human potential. I became acquainted with books that brought me concepts that I often thought about and have applied in my own life. Thought can control experience and thinking can be directed. I became very excited in the idea of the mind being so abundantly powerful that it became the focus of my interest and studies.

Personal Statement

For many years I took classes and tried to read everything I could find on the power of the human brain. I once read it is said that 90 percent of our thinking is unconscious, and at least 75 percent of all disease are unconsciously created, and that our success or failure in life is largely unconscious but we have the ability to recognize this and change the outcome. (Holmes, E., 1984).

With all of that said I am a firm believer that the mind creates our environment. I also know that the mind can be re-programmed as to produce a positive outcome. My interest presently is to work as an assistant to a therapist with similar beliefs and passions and continue graduate work and learn as much as I can, hands on in a career in Psychology...

Reflection

My overall experience at Argosy University, Hawaii has been a positive one. The classes were small and the instructors really seem to care about their students.

I especially appreciated the flexibility of the on-line classes, though each time I had a class on campus I felt a deep affection for my fellow students and staff.
