This is a long way short of our school target of 96%. There are only four more days until we all go off for the easter break. Please do make every effort to bring your child to school EVERY DAY. Remember: every day counts! The class attendance ]igures for last week were: Year 3: 98.6% Year 6: 97.5% Year 4: 96.03% Year 5J: 95.33% Year 2: 95..17% Year 1: 94% Year 5O: 93.83% Reception 2: 89.66% Reception 1: 88.77% Safeguarding To safeguard - to protect from harm or damage with an appropriate measure The clocks have changed and, as long as the ‘Beast from the East’ doesn’t return over Easter, we are hoping to see a bit more sunshine and enjoy time outside. On that note, please do talk to your child about road safety so they are kept safe whilst out and about. Please do remind your child/children to look both ways when they cross the road (even on a one way street like Ashmead Road). We will be talking about this in school also. Thanks for your co-operation (our current school value!) PTA Update The PTA spring event last Friday was great fun and raised a fantastic £175 (in only half an hour!). Thank you to everyone who took part and donated treats. Along with the hugely successful Winter Fair and leftover cash from last year, we are now in a good position ]inancially and are thinking about how we can use this to help the school. Look out for details of a coffee morning early next term to discuss spending ideas and also to start planning the summer fair. In the meantime, you can always contact us on Facebook or at: [email protected] OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) Project Do you have any spare timber – planks, blocks or logs? Do you have any small world toys, such as cars, trucks dinosaurs, ]igures or animals? We would love to have your donations for our Outdoor Play and Learning! We are hoping to get some funding from the PTA for some OPAL play equipment but donations really help to boost our resources. Please donate to the of]ice or through your child’s class teacher. Thank you!
