Attend ONE “Discover Your Gifts” Workshop (full day workshop with food provided) September 14 St. Stanislaus from 9-4:30 pm (childcare/activities provided) September 22 St. Mary’s Visitation from 10:30-5 pm (childcare/activities provided) September 28 Sacred Heart from 9-4:30 pm September 29 St. Mary’s Visitation from 10:30-5 pm (childcare/activities provided) Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: September 8, 2019 We are about to strengthen our efforts to build the Kingdom of God in our parish ministries, homes, and community. We will do this by discovering, sorting and distributing our individual spiritual gifts over the next three weeks. God is calling each of us to build the Church with Him. The Lord is calling each of us in our parish family and collaborative to build a stronger spiritual foundation in our parish, homes, and community by discovering the building blocks of his Kingdom, our individual spiritual gifts, and learning to use them more effectively. By your participation in the “Discover Your Gifts” Workshop, and use of the spiritual gifts God has given you, our parish will gain a new direction, focus, and purpose. He will also give direction, focus, and purpose to you in your individual life in your family, workplace, and community. With spiritual gifts, God does the work and we experience the victory. In the Old Testament, Joshua and his army used the tools that God gave them to persevere in facing great battle (Judges 7 and 8). They had only 300 soldiers to face over 100,000. They had no idea how God would save them, but they followed God’s lead and God won the victory for them with what He had given them. Spiritual gifts work that way. If we use them, God does amazing things through us. We need that for our parish, our families, and community. Please plan to bring your entire family to the “Discover Your Gifts” Workshop at ONE of four identical sessions listed above during the last few weeks of September. Childcare and religious and recreational activities will be available for those under 16 years of age. Everyone 16 and older is encouraged to participate in the workshop. Your priests, parish, family, workplace, and community really need the spiritual gifts that God has given you! In The Father, the Master Builder, Fr. Derda, Fr.
