by building more protected bicycle lanes and neighborhood greenways to improve safety for all travelers

• Head injuries cause about ¾ of the 800-900 deaths resulting from bicycling-related accidents in the U.S. each year

• 52% of adults in the U.S. worry about being hit by a car

Housekeeping Items

• This facility will close at 12:00AM and participants can work overnight offsite or get some sleep. The event officially kicks back up tomorrow at 10:00AM (doors will be open ~9:30AM).

• The link to register to present will be made available at 12:00PM tomorrow. You may register from 12:00PM - ~5:30PM.

• Please be respectful of this space; we are using people’s offices for our hackathon. If a space is roped-off, please do not enter.

• Select a space that is appropriate for your team size; if you’re team is three people, don’t grab the largest conference room.

• It is unlikely your mother is here and if she is, she doesn’t want to spend the weekend cleaning up after you. Please throw away or recycle your trash so we can keep our space looking nice.

• Please sort the trash correctly (look at the pictures) so that SURF doesn’t get fined
