• The ability to promise finished goods availability based on a statement of current and planned material supply.
• When you perform an Available To Promise (ATP) inquiry within Order Management, you can check available quantities for an item, a group of items or an entire order
Introduction to ATP ATP Inquiry
• ATP Inquiry is typically performed through an application that can place orders or quotes
• This type of application makes a call to Oracle Global Order Promisingwith information such as item,request date, quantity, or shipping warehouse
Introduction to ATP ATP Details
• Oracle Global Order Promising returns to Order Management the availability date and the available quantity based on the request date and displays this information within the Availability window.
Introduction to ATP ATP in Order Management
• You can determine availability for an order line or availability of a group of lines using the Availability button within the Sales Orders Header or Lines window
Scheduling
Scheduling is an action performed on an order line or a group of lines which :
• Determines the source (warehouse) for the order line
• Determines the schedule ship date, the schedule arrival date, the delivery lead-time and the shipping method.
• Scheduling is a communications tool that helps balance customer demands with your ability to fulfill that demand.
• Order Management provides you with the ability to auto scheduleyour orders as they are entered
