DESCRIPTION: The institute is designed to provide entering SBE PhD students with basic statistical concepts and data analysis to facilitate the transition into their respective social science disciplines. Statistical techniques, software and data manipulation will be presented. Additionally, there will be a variety of academic and social activities designed to promote inter-institutional student networking for future collaborations. At least five students from each AC Alliance school will be invited to participate.
