Dylan Margonari Notes: Senior forward Dylan Margonari collected his third goal of the season vs. Bowling Green and has totaled two goals and an assist in the last six games. Margonari owns 35-26--61 in 134 career games with the Mavericks.

Sean Flanagan Notes: Junior defenseman Sean Flanagan has 2-7--9 on the year in 26 games played. Flanagan has 8-28--36 in 91 career games.

Carter Foguth Notes: Junior defenseman Carter Foguth is in his first year as captain with Minnesota State after serving as an al-ternate captain as a sophomore. Foguth has 3-13--16 in 101 career games. Foguth, who led Minnesota State with 75 blocked shots last year (he has 195 blocks for his career), leads the team this year with 58 blocked shots. He currently stands tied for 22nd nationally in blocked shots.

his 381 face-off wins rank tenth in the na-tion. Blueger has 28-73--101 in 146 career games as a Maverick and is 11th on the school’s career scoring list (NCAA DI-era).

Brett Knowles Notes: Senior forward Brett Knowles has 4-2--6 on the year. A three-time letterwinner who is in his first year as an alternate captain for the Maver-icks, the Vanderhoof, B.C., native has 17-19--36 in 136 career games.

Bryce Gervais Notes: Senior forward Bryce Gervais, who registered 2-1--3 in the series at Alabama Huntsville, ranks in the top five at Minnesota State for career goals (64/4th), shorthanded goals (9/1st)and game-winning goals (10/t-5th). Ger-vais has 5-4--9 in the last nine games and

has played in 154 consecutive games with the Mavericks.

The Battleford, Sask., native is second on the team in goals (12) and is tied for third in points (19). Gervais has 63-31--94 in his four seasons with Minnesota State to rank 16th on the program’s career scoring list (NCAA DI era).

Jon Jutzi Notes: Senior defenseman Jon Jutzi, who has 4-6--10 in 32 games played this year, has three power play goals in 2015-16 to stand tied for 12th in the nation amongst all blueliners. Jutzi has 8-31--39 in 135 career games and is +22 with 179 shots on goal and 154 blocked shots in his four years with the Mavericks.

Named the head coach in April of 2012, Mike Hastings has enjoyed immense success behind the bench of the Minnesota State men’s hockey program in his first three seasons with the Mavericks.

With a 79-36-7 (.676) ledger during his first three seasons with the Mavericks, no men’s hockey program in the nation has more wins than Minnesota State from 2012-2015.

In his first year as head coach of the Mavericks in 2012-13, Hastings was named WCHA Coach of the Year after leading MSU to a 24-14-3 mark. The Crookston, Minn., native guided MSU to its first top-half league finish since 2007-08 in that first season and the Mavericks made their second-ever NCAA postseason tournament appearance. MSU had a seven-game winning streak from Nov 23-Dec. 14 and during the course of the season, claimed wins over

#2 Minnesota, #4 North Dakota and #15 Wisconsin. Hastings was named national coach of the year by College Hockey News and was a finalist for the Spencer Penrose Award as the AHCA National Coach of the Year.

In his second season in charge, 2013-14, the Mavericks continued its ascent with the program racking up a 26-14-1 mark. Minnesota State captured its first ever Broadmoor Trophy as the WCHA Final Five champions (league postseason tournament) and made its third NCAA postseason tournament appearance.

The ascendency continued in 2014-15 with a third consecutive trip to the NCAA postseason, while estab-lishing a school record for wins with a 29-8-3 record. Rated #1 in the country five times during the course of the season, the Mavericks won the Broadmoor for the second consecutive year, while a 21-4-3 league mark gave the school its first MacNaughton Cup as conference regular-season champs. Hastings was named WCHA Coach of the Year and the recipient of the Spencer Penrose Award as the AHCA National Coach of the Year.

Alec Vanko Notes: Freshman defenseman Alec Vanko owns 0-4-4 and is +3 with nine shots on goal and eight blocked shots in 12 games played with Minnesota State this year.

Stamina: Senior forward Bryce Gervais has not missed a game in his four-year col-lege career and owns a streak of 152 straight games played. Minnesota State’s record for career games played (160) is held by Zach Palmquist (2011-15) and Chase Grant (2010-2015).
