Ancient Athens
And
Ancient Sparta...
So what's the difference???
Well Sparta
Didn't trade
So they relied on...
Farming.
But Athens did trade....
And they specifically traded...
Pottery, bronze, silver, gold...
Vessels, olives, and olive oil too.
Athens traded with
Italy and Afghanistan
Both Ancient Sparta and Athens were.....
PAGONISTS
So they believed...
In more than one god
and in Athens, all the people had jobs....
Like farming...
sailing...
And Fishing..
But in Sparta..
It was all taken care of...
By the Helots
Which were like
the Spartan slaves
But Sparta
And Athens
Were rivals
Sparta was involved in...
The Trojan war.....
The Messenian Wars....
And the Persian war...
And Athens...
Was involved...
in the...
Messenian War...
The Athens and Sparta relied on...
Olives...
Grapes...
And barley
They raised...
Animals like...
Donkeys and Sheep
To later slaughter and eat :(
Athens trading boats...
look like...
Large sailing boats...
Or even...
Small "pirate ships"...
With large square shaped sails.
