ROI Discussion
13
“We forecast a 100 X ROI for one $65 Athena tuition. The ROI is expressed as forecasting ~ $6,500 in reducedhospitalizations in a year. Assume one nurse gains better health coaching skills from the education. Assume that samenurse helps only ONE senior to asthma-proof her home and avoid one asthma hospitalization in that year. The ROI ofavoiding one hospital admit at $6,500 is then 100 X the Athena tuition of $65.00. Scale it to 100 nurses and we’resaving about $650,000 a year. And this could be conservative.”

“Our nurses are accessing Athena Forum courses all over town from their iPads at Starbucks -- or from homecomputers in the evening. This is 21st Century convenient and saving us training dollars. Plus morale is way up.”
Care DirectorAllina Health, MN
“Our ROI is to train people so we can protect our $200Million contract with Medicare. Our front line people areassigned courses on Athena to support our compliance with CMS.gov.“
