CO. 783.1.—In future it will be the duty of the Water Police at the various outports to make periodical examinations of all Buoys and Moorings, and to report their condition to the Government Resident of the District and to the Harbor Master at Fremantle. , The Water Police boats are not suited for any- thing but an examination, but the constables will be able to report whether a Buoy is out of its proper position, or if it is bare of paint or tar, or that it is floating too deep, etc.; the Government Eesident will then arrange for the necessary work to be done. The Water Police at the outports will also carry out any instructions issued by the Government Eesident concerning the management of the Jetties, berthing ships, removal of goods, or other matters relating thereto. Circular Orders and Miscellaneous Information.

Gingin.—On or about the 10th ult., from a cart on the road between Guildford and Gingin,—8 dozen bottles lager beer, the property of Reuben E. Edwards. George Taylor, t.l., Eeg. No. 10,257, committed this larceny. Vide Miscellaneous.—C.I. 13.

Dongara.—On the night of the 23rd ult., from the person of David Hope, at the Milo Hotel,—brown leather purse containing order for £5 on Wain­wright & Co., drawn by J. Morrissey in favor of H. Payne ; 2 cheques, drawn by James Clinch, one for £S 13s. 3d., the other for £1 5s.; about £5 (notes, gold, and silver), and a gold ring. George Woods, exp., late 10,264, committed this larceny. Fremantle.—On the 27th ult., from a hut at a faller's camp, near Beverley,—double cased silver watch, supposed No. 62,696, the property of James Cameron.—C.I. 16.

Fremantle.—On the 30th ult., from owner's prem­ises. North Fremantle,—black serge vest, pair light tweed trousers, and pair cotton drawers, the property of Henrv Hudson. Suspicion attaches to Thomas Bradfield.—C.I. 18.

Fremantle.—On the 6th inst., from the s.s. " Rob Roy," at Vasse or Fremantle,—small black bag containing 2 pairs black cloth trousers, 1 black coat, and a quantity of other clothing, 3 razors, comb and brush, razor strop and case, bottle of medicine, labelled by Mayhew, chemist, bank book, and number of private documents, and yellow striped rug secured with three straps containing clothing, the property of J. S. Harris, R.M. Suspicion attaches to a steerage passenger from Albany to Fremantle, named W. J. King, about 5ft. 9in. high, full sandy whiskers turning grey, full face and straight nose, wears either blue black coat and trousers and light felt hat, or grey tweed suit and black felt hat.— C.I. 19.

Bunbury.—On or about the 29th ult., from owner's shop,—small card-board box containing 6 small common open face white metal watches, not num­bered, the property of John E. Hands.—C.I. 20.

Northam.—On the night of the 7th inst., from the " Northam " Hotel,—1 silk coat, 1 canvas coat and trowsers, 1 pair light colored tweed trowsers, 2 vests (one torn at left arm), and 1 red handkerchief, the property of George Playle.—C.I. 21.

Albany.— On the 3rd inst., at the Court House, before R. C. Loftie, R.M. and Coroner, on the body of Ah Hang, who died on the 31st ult. Verdict— " Accidental death, from injuries received by the over­turning of a cart."

Fairbairn, R.M. and Coroner, touching the destruction by fire, on the 8th inst., of the cottage occupied by Mrs. Walsh, at the back of the prison. Verdict—" That the house was burnt on the night of the 8th inst., but there is no evidence to show how the fire originated."

Bridgetoum.—On the 3rd inst., before John AUnutt, J .P. and Acting Coroner, on the body of Ada Jane Blechynden, age 4 years and 7 months, who died suddenly, on the 2nd inst. Verdict—" Death from natural causes."

Horses and Cattle. Northam.—Sold on the 14th inst., by order of

George Throssell, J.P.,—bay mare, aged, about 1.5 hands high, branded 2 B on near shoulder, and E C on off ribs, with foal at side.

Burglary. Berth.—On the night of the 14th inst., the store

of Neil Mc Neil& Co., at Jarrahdale, was burglariously entered, and the following articles, the property of Neil McNeil & Co., stolen therefrom, viz.:—one dark tweed suit, one pair of boots, one elastic belt, one singlet, and one meerschaum pipe.
