Fremantle.—On or about the 24th Julv last, from the person of Hugh McDonald,—silver hunter geneva watch, back case scratched, and marked "fine silver," and dome marked " J . Gall," jeweller. The dial of the second hand is of a darker shade than the rest of the face.—C.L 528.

J. Adam, R.M. and Coroner, on the body of Joseph Carter, exp., late 4883, found dead on the Northam Road near Newcastle, on the 13th inst. Verdict— " Death from suffocation while in a state of intoxi­cation."

Newcastle.—On the 14th inst., at Nunile, New­castle District, before J. Adam, R. M. and Coroner, on the body of Annie Rowles, who died at Mango­wine, on the 12th inst. Verdict—" Death from natural causes."

Perth.—On the ISth inst., at the Gaol, before J. C. H. James, Acting Coroner, on the body of Williani Conroy. Verdict—" Death by being hanged by the neck until he was dead, in execution of the sentence of the Supreme Court on the 7th October last, he, the said William Conroy, having been found guilty of the wilful murder of John Snook."

Derby.—On the 9th inst., on board the s.s. " Flinders," on the body of Sparks Howard Marshall. Verdict—" Death from natural causes."

Boebourne.—On the 3rd inst., at Bassett's Hotel, before E. F. Angelo, R.M. and Coroner, on the body of Mary Avidia Smith, infant child of Catherine Smith. Verdict—" Cause of death, wilful neglect of the mother, Catherine Smith." Fi'c e Apprehensions.

Burglary. Guildford.—On the night of the 18th inst., the

store of Messrs. Padbury, Loton & Co. was felon­iously entered by forcing open a window, and the following articles, the property of Messrs. Padbury & Loton, stolen therefrom, viz.,—one snider rifle

carbine, one breech-loading fowling piece, two ^Ib. tins gunpowder, two keys, three black soft felt hats, two tweed suits, two pairs tweed trowsers, one look­ing glass, one meerschaum pipe and case, two bottles Wizard oil, one bottle Powell's Balsam, one nail brush, about lib. tobacco, one empty sack, one ham, one jiiece of bacon, one piece of cheese, three tins biscuits, several tins of milk and of sar­dines, one ^ 1 bank note, and 12s. 6d. in silver.

Thomas Hughes, P. P., Reg. No. 10,385, and James Jarvis, L.P., absconding jirisoners, committed this burglary. Vide Apprehensions.

Middling stout, age 46 years, 5ft. 9in. high, sandy hair, dark brown eyes, long visage, fresh complexion, HK on each arm; farm laborer.

Stout, broad shoulders, 35 years of age, Sft. 7|in. high, dark brown hair, bald, light hazel eyes, long visage, fair complexion, anchor and J right arm, sailor and mermaid left arm, has a spot size of half a crown on left side of head void of hair, walks witli a quick short step, turns right foot outward ; supposed to have gone to South Australia with Bernard Stein.

Stout, 40 vears of age, 5ft. 4in. high, brown hair, oval risage, dark coii'iplexion, bayonet stab in neck, D left side, bullet mark on right leg, willow left arm, J right arm.

Middling stout, 37 years of age, 5ft. 6.?in. high, brown hair, grey eyes, oval visage, fresh complexion, dot and H on left arm.
