Opportunity for OSU Students to go to Turkey Atatürk University Bridging Cultures Summer School Program June 30July 11 2014 Previous Summer Program Interested students should email The Ohio State University’s Middle East Studies Center at [email protected] Bridging Cultures has been around for 8 summers and has brought together students from Georgia, Romania, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Turkey, and the USA, to name a few. This summer program through Atatürk University is a valuable opportunity for students to experience Turkish history, language and culture, and to share traditions and practices from their own country. From June 30July 11 2014, students selected to be a part of the "Building Bridges of Understanding" Summer Program will travel to Erzurum, Turkey. They will tour important and historical sites in and outside of Erzurum. They will have a chance to take classes that will introduce them to the Turkish language and cultural practices. There will also be free time to explore Erzurum and get to experience a taste of traditional Turkish life, such as a visiting a Turkish Bath. Ataturk University will provide accommodation, including meals. No tuition fee will be required for the courses; however attendance in courses is mandatory. Travel costs to and from Erzurum will be covered by the student. A certificate of attendance and an official document stating 3 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System)

Bridging  Cultures  has  been  around  for  8  summers  and  has  brought  together  students  from Georgia, 

Romania,  Azerbaijan, Malaysia,  Turkey,  and  the USA,  to  name  a  few.  This  summer  program  through
