Staff Spotlight:

Encampment Cadet Deputy Commander

C/Capt Nicholas Lake

Cadet Captain Nickolas Lake is this year’s

MIWG Encampment Cadet Deputy Command-

er. His home squadron is the Lt Col Keehn

Composite Squadron located in Flint. As the C/

CD, he is the next person in the cadet chain of

command under the cadet commander to inter-

act with the Squadron and Line Staff. C/Capt

Lake heard about CAP first while going to

lunch at school in 2011. His biggest inspiration

is Maj Michelle Benn because she was his first

real leader in the program and taught him to

reach outside his comfort zone. This will be his

5th encampment and his favorite being all of it.

Fun Fact: The large Ice Capps at Tim Hortons

cost $3.38.

Daily Safety Reminder*:

Shower! Clean yourself every day.

Brush your teeth and wear deodorant - both of these are mandatory!

*Avoid the Lake.

Random Fact of the Day:

The French language has seventeen different

ways to say ‘surrender’.

day if you see her!
