Course Guidelines

Senior Secondary School Certificate

(10+2) Part–I (Class XI) Arts /Social

Science

1. Assignment on Compulsory English (2 questions out of 4)

2. Three assignments on any 3 subjects out of 6 optional subjects

(Optional Subjects: (Choose any three)

i. Economics ii. History iii. Islamic Studies iv. Political Science v. Urdu

(Optional) vi. Persian Elementary)

3. Each subject’s assignment needs to be submitted along with the

assignment cover page mentioning the required details

Thus, a total of four assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

Senior Secondary School Certificate

(10+2) Part–I (Class XI) Commerce

1. Assignment on Compulsory English (2 questions out of 4)

Three assignments on 3 optional subjects i.e.

(1. Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Business Studies)

2. Each subject’s assignment needs to be submitted along with the

assignment cover page mentioning the required details

Thus, a total of four assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

B.A. (Hons.) 1. Assignment on your Honours Paper i.e. out of (1. Arabic 2.

Communicative English 3. Economics 4. History 5. Islamic Studies 6.

Political Science 7. Urdu 8. Hindi 9. Sociology 10. Psychology* (English

Medium) 11. Theology)

2. Each subject will have two papers.

3. Each subject’s assignment needs to be submitted along with the

assignment cover page mentioning the required details.

4. Assignment on your two subsidiary subjects (leaving out the Honours

Paper) i.e. out of (1. Arabic 2. Communicative English 3. Economics 4.

History 5. Islamic Studies 6. Political Science 7. Urdu 8. Hindi 9.

Sociology 10. Psychology* (English Medium) 11. Theology)

Each subject will have two papers and therefore two assignments

each. Thus during submission, there will two cover pages for each

paper. Total of four assignments (two for subject 1 and two for

subject 2. Eg. Student A has taken Honours in Sociology and then s/he selects any two subsidiary

out the balance 10 papers (1. Arabic 2. Communicative English 3. Economics

4. History 5. Islamic Studies 6. Political Science 7. Urdu

8. Hindi 9. Psychology* (English Medium) 10. Theology)

5. Assignment on Compulsory Subjects English: only one assignment.

Thus, a total of seven assignments would be submitted with individual

cover pages.

B. Com. (Hons.) 1. B. Com has five papers with individual assignments. Total of five

assignments

2. Additionally, Assignment on Compulsory English.

Thus, a total of six assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

M.A. 1. Each Course will have five subjects. Each subject will have one

assignment each

Thus, a total of five assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

M.Com (Hons.) 1. Each Course will have six subjects. Each subject will have one

assignment each

Thus, a total of six assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

Post Graduate Diploma in

Journalism and Mass

Communication (PGD-JMC)

1. Each Course will have four subjects. Each subject will have one

assignment each

Thus, a total of four assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

Post Graduate Diploma in Portfolio

Management (PGD-PM)

1. Each Course will have five subjects. Each subject will have one

assignment each

Thus, a total of five assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

Post Graduate Diploma in Language

for Advertisement, Marketing &

Media (PGD-LAMM)

1. Each Course will have five subjects. Each subject will have one

assignment each

Thus, a total of five assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance

& Counseling (PGD-G&C)

1. Each Course will have four subjects. Each subject will have one

assignment each

Thus, a total of five assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

Bachelor of Library & Information

Science (BLIS)

1. Each Course will have nine subjects. Each subject will have one

assignment each

Thus, a total of nine assignments would be submitted with individual cover

pages.

Assignment Guidelines:

1. The assignment should be written on A4 size paper.

2. Each subject’s assignment should have an assignment cover page available at http://amuict.in/pdf/Assignment-

Cover-Page-2017-2018.pdf mentioning the paper code and Subject title correctly. Also, please mention the

details about yourself accurately.

3. The assignments need to reach the AMU ICT Centre as per the due dates mentioned in the portal.

4. Unless the AMU ICT Centre receives the hardcopy of the Assignment before the mentioned due date, the same

shall not be considered.

5. The assignment should be written in neat and clean hand writing and stapled properly.

6. Assignments with incomplete Cover Page will be treated as cancelled.

7. The cover page should be stapled at the front of each subject’s assignment.

8. Please ignore the Computerised typing/ Print outs.

9. The handwritten assignments should reach the below mentioned address:

11. For record purposes, please upload the scanned copies of the handwritten assignments in the learning portal as

the guidelines mentioned below or you could also mail us the scanned copies to faculty@amuict.in

Guidelines for Assignment Submission of Scanned Copies in the Learning Portal:

1. Go to the AMU Login Portal. http://portal.amuict.in/

2. Enter Username & Password that must have been provided to you already and log in to the portal.

3. Click on the Subject

4. Click on Assignment tab.

5. Click on Assignment Questions

6. Read the Assignment Questions carefully

7. Start writing the assignments on paper as now you have the questions with you. Do not forget to add the Cover

page of the assignments for each subject.

8. After writing the assignments please scan the same and save the assignments as one pdf file for one subject.

9. Now you can upload the same in the portal. For which please Click on Add Submission Tab to upload the

scanned copy of the assignments which should be one pdf file not exceeding the size of 5 MB

10. Add the file by clicking on the ADD icon as mentioned

11. Select the file (scanned pdf of the handwritten assignments)

12. Click on Upload this File Tab

13. Click on Save Changes – The file is uploaded
