User Reviews (OVERALL) -

Pros -- a wide variety of recipes- the videos really help aid to what the user is choosing to cook/bake- not only is there a video, but the instructions are also written out step by step- all ingredients are laid out for the user as well- all nutrition facts are laid out - there are reviews for each recipe by others who have followed along with the exact recipe that the user is choosing to look at and -

Cons - - somewhat difficult to navigate at first- recipes are not fully organized- only can be viewed in a horizontal stage, not vertical - text is a little small (felt like it was a little difficult to see)- only available on the ipad - you have to be a member to use a recipe box and save some of the favorites there

Suggestions (based off of cons) - - alphebatize the recipes within each category- for people with allergies or personal diet preferences, state other possible ingredients that can substitute for others- if working in a smaller space, allow for the ipad to be flipped vertically- allow for there to be an app to connect to an iphone or other phone so that you can check the recipes while out grocery shopping instead of having to carry around a larger piece of technology- for free members who do not have an account, allow for there to be settings that can be changed to allow for larger text or allow the user to zoom in on the text so that they can read the step by step instructions and the ingredients with less trouble - the home page should be more of a complete navigation page rather than just having one small generic button in the corner.

Personal Realizations - Throughout asking different family members to check out this app and try using it they all agreed that they thought it was a great idea for someone who enjoys cooking and baking, but it was clear to me that this seems to be somewhat of a gender-based application, at least in my family. Though the male figures figured it out eventually, they didn’t seem as interested as the women did. The female figures found the app to be helpful and useful in the kitchen if they were trying to prepare one of the meals, and they found that it was easy to keep along with as they watched the toutorials. I noticed that because the first page is just the featured recipes page, it took some of the people that I interviewed a little longer to learn how to navigate the page, including myself. The one question that I was sure to ask each person was to think of their favorite meal and if they were to make it, could they find a recipe that was to their liking. It really did range in how long it took some to find the recipe compared to others, but a lot voiced an opinion that it took them longer than they would expect because if they just went through the categories nothing was organized in any type or manner and they thought if it were to be alphabetized it would be much easier.

“The ISFJ personality type is quite unique, as many of their qualities defy the definition of their individual traits. Though possessing the Feeling (F) trait, ISFJs have excellent analytical abilities; though Introverted (I), they have well-developed people skills and robust social relationships; and though they are a Judging (J) type, ISFJs are often receptive to change and new ideas. As with so many things, people with the ISFJ personality type are more than the sum of their parts, and it is the way they use these strengths that defines who they are.”
