Experience driving a real Formula One Car

Driving a Formula One Car for the �rst time is a scary feat even for professional drivers. �e expectation of the speed and power can be overwhelming. As I was being strapped in my heart started to race and my breathing got shallow. �e engine roared into life and I was given the signal to go. As I tackled the �rst lap all my expectations were met, the speed the power and the unbelievable grip through the corners but it felt manageable. Once I had completed a couple of laps my nerves started to settle and my smile went from ear to ear, I’m driving a real F1 and it’s actually quite easy. �e cheque-red �ag came out and I pulled into the pits. I was completely high, by far the best experience of my life and I couldn’t wait to get back in.

Here at Ascari we o�er you the possibility to drive a real unrestricted Formula One Car without a pace car on one of the most challenging and exclusive race circuits in the world.

�is amazing o�er consists of 3 days driving. You will have your own personal instruc-tor who will, through our driving programs, increase your con�dence and get you to a level where you will be comfortable driving the Formula One Car. During the 3 days you will get to drive a Lotus Elise, BMW compact 2.5l, Radical SR3, Lola F3 and �nally the 1997 Benetton F1.

If you have a passion for speed or racing there is no greater thrill than driving an Formula One Car.

- Engine: Judd V10 GV4, 4 litre, 750 bhp 700ft/lb torque

GV4 V10 engine installed as a fully stressed member attached to the rearmost monoco que bulkhead.

- Front Suspension: Double wishbone and pushrod with Benetton designed and manufactured suspension system located on top of the monocoque.

- Rear Suspension: Double wihbone and pushrod with upper mounted Benetton designed and manufactured damper units.

- Transmission: Benetton semi-auto six-speed paddle shift gearbox. Triple-plate clutch.

- Fuel System: ATL rubber fuel cell mounted within monocoque structure behind cockpit.

- Oil System: Oil tank within bellhousing providing two gallon/nine litres capacity.

- Cooling System: Separate water and oil cooling; water radiators in each side pod.

�e Track

�e design imperative to take the existing rugged terrain into account has resulted in a track whose distinctive character is challenging and appealing to the driver, yet whose presence has minimal negative impact on the environment. �e backdrop to Ascari is a nature lovers’ paradise. Mountains and indigenous woodland characte-rise a terrain intentionally devoid of advertising boards and other manifestations of commerce common to other race circuits. Within that brief, all the passive safety installations have been designed to be as visually low key as possible.

-Day 1: Special Driving Programme during a Club Day: Full day in Ascari with a professional instructor, you will drive these Academy Cars: - Lotus Elise: 2 series of 4 laps. - BMW Compact: 2 series of 4 laps. - Radical SR3: 4 series of 4 laps. - F3 Lola: 2 series of 7 laps.

-Day 2: F3 + F1 Special Programmes: Full day and track in exclusivity in Ascari with a professional instructor: - F3 Lola: 8 laps. - 1997 Benetton Formula One: 8 laps.

-Day 3: F1 Special Programme: Full day and track in exclusivity in Ascari Circuit with a professional instructor: - 1997 Benetton Formula One: 12 laps.
