Caution! Handling and use of AsahiNEOMA™ products Installed environment●Do not install on foundation exteriors, in-ground, or in any other environment involving exposure to water, moisture, or water vapor in large quantities.●Prolonged exposure to 100°C or more will degrade thermal resistance and other properties, despite dimensional stability (within 2%) at up to 200°C.●Use only AsahiNEOMA™ Foam DH or UF for concrete-placement installation.Storage and transport●Store in dry, area free from exposure to water and direct sunlight.●Bound together and cove with protective sheet upon storing to prevent dispersion by wind.●Avoid contact with sharp objects, edges, and corners, to prevent physical damage. Installation procedure●Avoid exposure to load and impact on any portion not supported by substrate, to prevent cracking.●Avoid installation during windy weather, to prevent rippling and cracking.Dust generation in cutting●When cutting, use vacuum-equipped cutter and approved workclothes, dust mask, and goggles.●For large-volume cutting in confined space, ensure adequate ventilation and minimize dust formation.●Dust from AsahiNEOMA™ Foam is not identified as a health hazard. Promptly flush eyes with running water without rubbing to remove dust and gargle with water to remove them from mouth and throat.
Exposure to ignition sources●Avoid exposure to flame during transport, storage, and installation, to prevent carbonization. (LOI: 28% or more).●Ammonia gas may be generated during combustion. The concentration is very low to cause any health hazard.Discoloration under UV exposure●Ultraviolet exposure may cause change in color but it will not cause any significant change in its property. Keep away from direct ultraviolet radiation while storing and installing AsahiNEOMA™ Foam.Disposal●Contact an authorized disposal agent and dispose in accordance with local laws and regulations.●Compressing or crushing will result in the release of hydrocarbon gas from the foam cells, and should therefore be performed in a non-confined area with adequate ventilation.Exposure to insects and pests●Contains no substance of food or nutritional value to termite larva, insects, or animals, but may be damaged by their presence.Notes on all of the foregoing precautions:1.They apply only to ordinary use and applications.2.Suitabi l i ty and safety for any special appl icat ion or use must be determined in advance by the user.3.They are based on currently available information and are subject to change without notice in the event of new findings or knowledge.
Exemption from responsibility and liabilityAsahi Kasei Construction Materials Corporation shall be exempt from any and all responsibility and liability for product quality or performance in the event of any problem caused by or arising out of any of the following.●Non-compliance with any precaution provided herein.●Specifications or installation procedures issued by designer, constructor, or other user.●Materials or components provided by designer, constructor, or other user.●Construction, use, or handling by constructor.●Building structure, substrate deformation, or aging or deterioration, or any impact or other factor external to product.●Willful or negligent conduct by any user or third party.●Any change in structure, performance, specification, or other requirement subsequent to product delivery.●Failure to provide prompt notification of any product fault or defect.●Any environment or condition of use, storage, or transport that is not ordinarily foreseeable at the time of product development, production, or sale.●Earthquake, typhoon, flood, fire, or other such natural calamity, accident, or occurrence.
*Values as measured at Japan testing center for construction materials; may vary in actual product use.
■Cell structure of three insulating foams ■Effect of cell size in thermal conductivity
■Foam thickness required to achieve 2.5㎡K/W thermal resistance
Superior thermal insulation performancewith small cell size.
Inferior thermal insulation performancewith larger cell size.
Long lasting thermal insulation performanceHigh gas barrier of cell membrane, prevents air-foaming gas interchange which enablesAsahiNEOMA™ FOAM to have long lasting thermal insulation performance.

■Cell membrane micrographs ■Air-Foaming gas interchange (1,000-days after the production.)
Fire resistantAsahiNEOMA™ Foam simply chars under direct flame, without any flame spreadFree from Hydrogen cyanide gas generation
Fluorocarbon-freeAsahiNEOMA™ Foam is produced with a hydrocarbon foaming agent, without usingozone-depleting CFC, HCFC, or HFC, and is readily recyclable

AsahiNEOMA™ Foam panels enable highlyeffective insulation even in 2x4 frames, while conventional insulation materialswould require 2x6 or 2x8 frames for thesame R-value (thermal resistance, m²K/W).
In outer installation, AsahiNEOMA™ Foam formsa smooth, uninterrupted conformationwhich, together with its low thermalconductivity (λ-value), enables thin-panelconfigurations for thin, well insulated wallsand roofs.
